The Dalmatian variety is certainly one of the distinctive dog breeds globally, characterized by their spotted black and white fur, making them quite recognizable and renowned.
When Lexi Smith, a young woman from Denver, made the decision to adopt a dog in 2018, she never anticipated that one single puppy could transform her life entirely. But indeed, it did.
In March 2018, this little speckled puppy entered her life. Immediately, she recognized something about him that rendered him even more charming.
This Dalmatian pup possessed a heart-shaped marking on the middle of his adorable puppy nose, and he was simply stunning.
Wiley’s owner, Lexi, shared with People that this heart-shaped feature wasn’t a decisive element and that Wiley was not born with it, “I had committed to a puppy from his litter before any of them had markings. I got to choose first in the litter, but I selected him for his character above everything else.”
The marking became noticeable when Wiley was around six weeks old. Initially, they were uncertain if it would remain since he was still quite young, but fortunately, the heart-shaped spot became a permanent aspect of his coat.
From the moment Lexi shared Wiley’s photo, he shot to fame.
“Everyone notices the heart,” Smith mentioned to the Dodo. “I can’t take him anywhere without being overwhelmed, but he thrives on the attention. He is adorable and he is well aware of it!”
Wiley not only has a large heart-shaped spot on his nose, but he also possesses a big heart. He is exceptionally sociable, affectionate, and enjoys meeting new individuals.
As Lexi describes him, he is engaging, very quick to greet everyone, and will promptly begin playing with you.
On their website, Lexi writes, “He goes in with his heart first in everything he does – both literally (‘’cuz ya know… the nose) and metaphorically. He leads with affection, and if you ask me, this world could certainly benefit from more heart-first, love-driven action.”
Wiley is such a charming pup, with no unkind bone in his body.
