When April Easterwood Thornton boarded her aircraft, which was flying from Atlanta, Georgia to Newark, New Jersey, she came across a rather peculiar fellow traveler taking the same journey.
As she navigated her way to her seat through the first-class section, she was greeted by a small furry visage.
Unusual Passenger
April wasn’t astonished by the presence of a dog on the aircraft, as she was aware that service animals could accompany their handlers in the cabins, but she was taken aback by the dog’s treatment.
Specifically, this canine was not fulfilling any service role at all. In fact, it was doing quite the contrary.
The little furball was lounging very comfortably in the seat, clearly relishing every indulgence that first class had to provide.
“I spotted the pup immediately because she was sprawled out in her own seat which happened to be the first one on the plane! I was astonished that she had her own seat. I hadn’t witnessed that before,” remarked April.
Good Dog
Even though April was seated further away, she observed that the pup was exceptionally well-mannered throughout the entire flight.
She appeared as if it wasn’t her first visit there as well. Very cozy in her seat up front.
April understood that due to this special attention, this canine was highly significant to her father. And, this was validated when she arrived at her destination.
While collecting her luggage, April spotted the cute little face once again, but this time, it was circling the baggage carousel.
The pup’s visage was featured on a custom suitcase!
I encountered the owner again at baggage claim and spotted his suitcase instantly. Like, as it was moving along the baggage carousel.
April also remarked that the owner was exceedingly proud of his suitcase and delighted in showing it off to everyone in the airport.

As a proud dog mom herself, April completely recognized the dog owner’s desire to pamper the little creature that brings immense joy into one’s existence.
She even proclaimed that every dog merits a lavish seat in every mode of transport and I couldn’t agree more!
