We’ve all encountered large canines and likely observed some truly gigantic ones, yet it’s quite uncommon to witness a wolf acting precisely like a dog.
This is precisely the scenario with the Canadian wolf, Akela, and his companion, Andrey, an inseparable duo who seem to consider this behavior standard.
Personally, I’d feel somewhat fearful around such a massive creature, but it’s evident that Akela is merely a big lovable pupper beneath the exterior.
The Joyful Pair
In a video Andrey shared on his Youtube channel, we get to see just how charming Akela’s actions are.
Initially, he poses for the lens alongside Andrey, then becomes a bit frisky, rubbing his face against Andrey and tugging at the hood of his hoodie.
He even takes it a step further by climbing atop Andrey and lounging on him, all while still trying to access his hoodie and ears.
For many, that’d likely induce a heart attack, yet Akela’s guardian understands that he’s simply being playful and wouldn’t harm him intentionally.
Eventually, he successfully pulls down the hoodie, marking a victory for him.
Throughout the video, Akela remains lively, clearly more interested in playing than in participating in the video, just wanting quality moments with Andrey.
Part of the Pack, Part of the Crew
For some, the nipping could be perceived as frightening, along with some of the seemingly aggressive actions that Akela may display, but this impression primarily arises from his size.
Most other canines exhibit similar, if not identical behaviors when engaging in playful fights with their dog companions.
This interaction also mirrors how wolves interact with fellow pack members, merely a form of amusement for them, and for Akela, Andrey is a member of his pack.
He also recognizes that Andrey can handle it well, given how effortlessly he can manage Akela’s advances with just one hand.
A Well-Cared-for Wolf
His cheerful and playful demeanor is indicative of how Andrey lovingly cares for him.
He even constructed a sizable enclosure to provide ample space for him to roam without feeling constricted.
Moreover, we can clearly see how well groomed his fur is, signifying that he’s indeed living in comfort and has found his eternally welcoming abode.
