Dogs are among the most charming beings deserving of our boundless love and care. We cannot envision our lives without them, and we strive to safeguard them and ensure they feel secure.
It saddens me to realize there are helpless pups who are subject to maltreatment and cruelty from heartless individuals.
In today’s narrative, we will discuss Jumping Bean, a remarkable Pittie who faced mistreatment as well. She was left confined and tethered in the cellar of an abandoned house in Missouri, awaiting her saviors to liberate her.
Rescuing Jumping Bean
When a nameless man acquired the same property and opened the basement door, he was astonished to discover a Pit Bull tethered to the staircase. The pup wagged her tail, thrilled to be discovered.
The man promptly reached out to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, informing them about the dog who had been restrained in his cellar.
The rescue team, accompanied by Donna Lochmann, the rescue’s head life-saving officer, hurried to the location immediately.
With the homeowner’s consent, the rescuers entered the house and proceeded to the basement.
Upon illuminating their flashlight, they spotted a chained Pittie with hopeful eyes. It broke their hearts. She began wagging her tail with anticipation.
While Lochmann released her, the pup sniffed her and licked her face. She was desperate to be liberated.
“She was almost choking herself with excitement to see us. When we set her free, she couldn’t stop bounding up and down and showering us with affection,” stated Natalie Thomson, the chief communications officer of Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
Lochmann fastened a leash on her and brought her outside. Other rescuers went downstairs to assess where the dog had been residing.
They were informed that a trespasser had been living in the basement for a while. He left behind trash and a sweet pup tied to the stairs. The rescuers discovered there was no food left for the dog.
The Pooch Is Over The Moon
Once the canine was taken outside, she began leaping with delight as if she wished to rejoice in her newfound freedom.
“It was as though she was expressing ‘I should not be overlooked! I am a living, breathing being. We named her Jumping Bean because of her enthusiasm. It suited her perfectly,” Thomson remarked.
The exuberant canine jumped into the vehicle. The rescuers gently petted her, and the pup felt at ease, realizing she was now secure. Her tail continued to wag incessantly. Her rescuers were elated and smiled during the ride of freedom.
Shortly after, Jumping Bean was taken to the veterinarian. Fortunately, she was found to be in good condition. The lively Pittie was slightly underweight and required treatment for heartworms, but other than that, she was fine.
The shelter staff adored Jumping Bean and showered her with affection and cuddles. The endearing pup cherished every individual she encountered.
“Her character is utterly charming. She adores everyone she meets and longs for attention. She ensures that she is not ignored! She is an enthusiastic and extremely loving pup! She is always so joyful,” Thomson commented.
Riding Into The Sunset With Her Forever Parents
Before long, Jumping Bean recuperated and she aspired to find her forever family.
Joseph and Kristin Mills were looking to adopt a pup, and they visited the shelter in St. Louis. The moment they spotted Jumping Bean, they instantly fell for her. The couple was certain she was the dog they were destined to bring home.
“You could simply sense how excited she was to be out and about. [Kristin] liked her and I liked her too, so there wasn’t actually more to contemplate,” said Mills.
The delightful pup adopted the name Arya and began a new chapter of her life at her forever home. After her transition to the family, she could barely control her joy.
Her parents cherish her deeply, and the pup ensures they recognize her affection for them. She revels in snuggling with them and feels adored like never before.
We feel ecstatic knowing that Arya is living her best life. The lovely Pittie received the joyful conclusion that she has always merited.
