Words fail to convey how unjust and heartbreaking it is to abandon dogs and make them feel undeserving of affection.
Four tiny Dogo Argentino pups felt dejected and frightened after unfeeling individuals discarded them in a truck bed during the night.
Chilled and famished, four defenseless youngsters were curled up together, striving to console one another. The charming little ones yearned for their mother, and they began whimpering, longing to be wrapped in her warmth.
With all their hearts, the four little companions yearned to encounter kind humans who would demonstrate to them that they were deserving of being cherished and loved.
A Rescue Operation
Suddenly, he heard the cries of dogs and soon came across four malnourished Dogo Argentino puppies quivering in the bed of his truck, which left him completely heartbroken.
The pups gazed at him with sorrowful eyes.
Upon observing the puppies’ sunken ribs, Towers realized they required urgent veterinary care. He began making calls, attempting to locate a pet hospital that was open during the night.
Once he and his girlfriend confirmed that the Veterinary Emergency Group, an animal clinic in Brookhaven, Georgia, was open, they drove the puppies there.
The clinic staff evaluated the puppies and provided them with the necessary medical attention.
The personnel reached out to DC Dogos Rescue, a canine rescue based in Florida that assists Dogo Argentinos in finding permanent homes, and assured they would take in the little ones.
The Rescue Cares For The Puppies
The following morning, their foster caregiver, who resided nearby, picked up the puppies and took them home, where he cared for them with love and attention.
After a few days, a volunteer transported the adorable puppies to the rescue farm situated in Tampa.
Upon their arrival, the staff warmly welcomed the little fur babies and showered them with affection.
The siblings were incredibly close and often cuddled together.
The volunteer who chauffeured them to Tampa became attached to one of the puppies and opted to foster her.
Shortly after the four puppies were admitted to the rescue, two additional Dogo Argentino puppies were discovered in Atlanta. They were rescued and also brought to Tampa.
“Someone spotted them on the sidewalk, off the roadside. It was evident they were simply abandoned there; they were the same age, eight weeks old. We’re thinking, perhaps they’re from the same lot or litter,” remarked Pamela Fay, the executive director of DC Dogos Rescue, while speaking to PEOPLE.
All six puppies were taken to the veterinary clinic and were estimated to be eight weeks old.
It was clear that they experienced neglect early in their lives, but they were anticipated to recover fully.
The little fur babies required deworming and a balanced diet to gain weight.
The rescue staff provided exceptional care for these sweet little ones.
A few days later, the puppies began to flourish. The staff enjoyed observing them frolic and wag their tiny tails. Their gentle eyes sparkled with hope.
The sweet fur babies were named Crysta, Magi, Zak, Hexxus, Justin, and Joey.
On The Quest For A Loving Home
The rescue organization is currently welcoming adoption inquiries for the puppies.
Once they have made a complete recovery, they will be prepared to transition to their lasting homes.
Fay encourages prospective adopters to thoroughly research the breed of the puppies, as they require “a great deal of stimulation and physical activity.”
She advocates for potential adopters to reach out and pose any questions they may have concerning the Dogo Argentino pups.
“They are among the most adorable puppies ever, which makes them highly sought after, but then potential owners realize they require too much. It’s a fantastic breed, but they aren’t suitable for everyone. Thus, we often see them abandoned once they reach maturity,” Fay added.
We firmly believe that these lovely canines shall soon discover humans who will cherish and pamper them as they rightfully deserve.
We are immensely thankful to all the amazing individuals who participated in saving these little ones. We eagerly anticipate seeing them settled in loving permanent homes.
