Lee Asher, the creator of a recognized non-profit sanctuary located in Estacada, Oregon, called The Asher House, was following an amazing rescue in Eugene, Oregon, when he encountered a dog that captured his heart at first sight.
At The Luvable Dog Rescue, two dogs, a connected duo, were in search of a permanent home, and Asher resolved to give them that opportunity.
Upon his visit to collect the duo, Asher anticipated bringing home two new puppies; however, events unfolded unexpectedly.
Met The Pups
When Asher reached The Luvable Dog Rescue, he was immediately introduced to the two puppies he intended to adopt, a French Bulldog and a Pug.
The charming Frenchie, known as Stella, had been rescued from the streets. She had been so badly bred that she could not walk. The other puppy, Teeny Bean, was transferred from a different shelter.
During a tour of the rescue, Asher also encountered Star. Star was a dog relinquished to the shelter by a breeder due to a myriad of digestive problems that the breeder no longer wished to address.
He also met two additional delightful pups who had been found in a remote area and brought to the shelter. After spending some quality time with them, they revealed themselves to be incredibly sweet.
But, when the staff members informed him that these dogs had been available for adoption for a month without any humans expressing interest, Asher was utterly astonished.
“A month?! Seriously, this dog has been up for adoption for a whole month?” Asher inquired of the staff.
Upon learning this shocking news, Asher recognized that these three lovely pups required a home immediately, prompting his decision to adopt them.
One More
While preparing to depart, Asher also came across a dog named Moo.
Moo is a black and white Pit Bull who relishes spending time with people and other dogs alike. She enjoys strolls and is also a fan of lounging on the couch.
“She is the most perfect dog,” remarked one of the staff members.
As soon as Asher met Moo, he fell in love with her instantly. Unable to leave her behind, he resolved that she should also join his family.
Once Moo understood she was adopted, she was ready to embrace her new existence.
The team carefully placed all of the pups into Asher’s car, and they set off to his sanctuary, where a new chapter in their lives awaited.

It was heartwarming to witness your happiness in getting these dogs adopted. You are the genuine article,” Asher shared in a YouTube video.
