If your parents or grandparents resemble mine, at some stage in their lives, they likely opposed the idea of having any type of pet in their home. Indeed, Mr. Dahl, Aleecia’s grandfather, was that kind of grandparent.
Your observant nature probably caught the fact that I used “was.” Occasionally, the most devoted pet owners are those who claim they aren’t great with animals. For Aleecia’s grandfather, Coco was the canine that prompted him to change his mind.
In a conversation with The Dodo, Aleecia described how the inseparable pair are constantly together. So much so that her Grandpa takes Coco along to the furniture store to assist him in selecting a chair they both will appreciate.
This chance arose when her grandparents needed to relocate and acquire new furniture. Aleecia remarked:
It was essential for Grandpa that the footrest on his armchair be spacious enough for him and Coco to sit side by side.
She went on to elaborate how they share an unbreakable bond, and with the chair selection mission, they needed to find the ultimate recliner.
He took Coco into various stores to test out chairs until he discovered the ideal one.
The duo was always warmly welcomed at the shops they explored. Naturally, this sight was not something the employees were accustomed to. Laughter and smiles were the treasures Aleecia’s Grandpa and Coco offered to everyone they met.
After visiting several stores, Coco and Mr. Dahl ultimately found their preferred chair. Now, they were ready once more to relish sitting and lounging in tranquility until they drifted off to sleep. Good for them!
