Suzette Hall, the creator of a California-based rescue known as Logan’s Legacy 29, regularly receives notifications regarding abandoned pups that roam the streets of Southern California seeking a compassionate hooman willing to extend a helping hand.

Nevertheless, one day, she got a call that was unlike the others.

A Good Samaritan reached out to Hall to share that they had discovered not just one, but three adorable pups who were meandering around an unoccupied property in Compton, refusing to part from one another.

Once Hall obtained this news, she instantly realized that this would not be an uncomplicated endeavor. Catching a single frightened pup is quite challenging, let alone three.

However, she understood that she needed to devise a solid strategy, as she was their only chance.

“It was heart-wrenching to witness. They are all so small,” Hall expressed on Facebook.

Regrettably, Hall’s rescue operation faced an unforeseen delay for a few days due to mechanical problems with her rescue vehicle.

Fortunately, her friend, Mary Nakiso, took it upon herself to check on the pups every evening, supplying them with wholesome food to keep them nourished and lively while they awaited their rescuer.

When Hall finally got there, she was astounded to witness just how devoted the pups were to one another.

“They were incredibly frightened, but they had each other. And wow, do they care for one another,” Hall remarked.

Hall opted to maintain a distance so as not to scare the pups by intruding too quickly into their space. Then, she spoke to them in a gentle and calming voice, showering them with encouraging words to convey that they were in safe hands and had nothing to fear.

Hall successfully caught the smallest pup of the trio rather swiftly, while Nakiso worked to earn the trust of the middle one. Fortunately, it did not take her long, and both pups were secured in no time.

“The little girl adored Mary so much, and Mary was able to get her,” Hall wrote.

The tiniest pup, named Oscar, along with his sister, Jolene, were anxiously waiting in the safety of Hall’s vehicle while the rescuers returned for their older sibling, Ollie.

“The third little boy was incredibly frightened; he kept retreating into the garage,” she penned.

Noticing that he simply did not trust them, Hall and Nakiso decided it would be best to give him some space to relax while they took his siblings to the Camino Pet Hospital in California.

Another Attempt

she had some assistance.

The rescuer believed it would be most effective to set up a humane trap beside the garage where Ollie was hiding, hoping he would step inside on his own.

Upon her return in the morning, she felt immense joy when she discovered Ollie patiently waiting in the trap for her arrival.

She swiftly transported the sweet boy to the vet hospital, where he was reunited with his charming siblings.

“They were all so terrified. So cold, so famished. Yet at last, they were all secure. They had one another again,” Hall shared.

These lovely triplets underwent a comprehensive examination at the hospital before proceeding to their foster residence. Hall’s friend, Genavie Ochoa, volunteered to welcome all three so they wouldn’t be separated.

Although Ollie still struggles with trusting humans, his charming siblings are growing increasingly fond of being house dogs with each day that passes.

Regardless, their guardians are confident that they will soon forget their past and fully embrace the joyful days that lie ahead.

“Ollie is quite frightened, but the other two are incredibly sweet and adore belly rubs. These unfortunate little ones have endured so much,” Hall informed The Dodo.

These adorable little ones 😫 I’m really trying to befriend the other one. He will just need a bit more time, and that’s perfectly fine. They were saved from an abandoned house in Compton. Someone left these three tiny souls to fend for themselves. They are genuinely so small! If you’re interested in adopting or fostering this Chihuahua family, they’ll be available through Logan‘s Legacy 29. #dog#dogs#rescue#puppies#Chihuahua#fyp#cuties#love

I am convinced that Ollie, Jolene, and Oscar will discover a caring forever home where they can ultimately feel at ease and live the lives of their canine dreams.

But, for now, the care and affection they receive from their foster is more than sufficient to make them feel at home.

“I’m certain they haven’t slept this soundly in a considerable time. They are rescued and have each other,” Hall finished.
