We’ve all experienced those uncomfortable instances at social events.
For certain individuals, however, it isn’t merely a rare occurrence – it takes place every single time. I consistently feel so rigid, wishing that no one would approach me so I could return home as quickly as possible.
Interestingly, the other day while browsing TikTok, I discovered that it isn’t only humans who experience this – dogs do as well!
An Adorable Exception
You might be curious as to how this is even feasible.
Dogs are incredibly sociable. They adore spending time with humans and receiving an abundance of affection.
Well, it’s both true and not true. Although this is applicable to numerous dogs, there are always some exceptions. Not every pooch possesses a lively, spirited demeanor. Certain dogs prefer to relax in the coziness of their homes with their affectionate humans.
One such canine is a charming Blue Heeler named Millie. Despite her breed being recognized for being wonderful with every human they encounter, this darling girl simply lacks the ability to engage.
The Life Of The Party
When Millie’s owners throw a small gathering, she feels uncertain about what action to take.
Rather than confidently roaming through the crowd, soliciting affection and pets, Millie retreats to a corner, attempting to comprehend what is transpiring.
And indeed, this occurs every single time and her owner, Mia Cherepko, has chosen to document it.
“She has always been rather anxious. In social situations, she usually stays close to me or my husband. Or, as seen in the video, she prefers to settle in random locations around the house and just observe. She desires to be social but doesn’t know how,” Cherepko explained to Newsweek.
As much as Millie longs to be part of the gathering, something is simply hindering her from doing so.
Moreover, even when she musters the bravery to arise and stroll around, she routinely ends up back in the corner, scanning the room with the most uncomfortable expression ever!
The Cutest Introvert Ever
Whenever a video features a dog behaving unusually, the internet absolutely loves it!
Numerous individuals gathered in the comments section of this video, sharing their admiration and sympathy for this delightful girl.
“We would be two socially awkward girls together in the corner, equally too shy to explain why we are there,” one commenter expressed.
“I feel like that is me if I were a dog,” wrote another individual.
The official Google account even contributed a humorous remark, stating: “We can’t interpret dog, but those eyes convey ‘When are they leaving?’”
I’m quite confident that we can all deduce that Millie’s feelings during social events are completely relatable.
All those unfamiliar faces and loud sounds can make anyone feel somewhat out of place.
