Lassie’s Tale
The canine was brought to Providence Animal Center from a shelter in Kentucky.
Per Pennsylvania legislation, all dogs and puppies entering the shelter system must undergo two weeks in quarantine.
Some canines struggle with being separated from other shelter inhabitants, but Lassie did not share this experience.
During her fortnight in the shelter’s puppy area, the team noted Lassie’s behavior and recognized that she had previously been a puppy mill dog.
Whenever Lassie spotted new puppies arriving at the shelter, she felt compelled to check on them and ensure their well-being.
“She must have been a mother herself because, during the puppy intake examinations, we had to present her with each puppy afterward, or she became distressed,” stated Giana Sabatino, a shelter employee at the Providence Animal Center.

Lassie’s prospective family ought to be aware that the charming pooch manages several health issues, which can be effectively handled.
The canine has been diagnosed with Lyme disease, arthritis, heartworm, and dental complications.
