Upon receiving an urgent call regarding a puppy tied to a dumpster for three consecutive days, Kiarra was heartbroken and realized she had to take action.
When she reached the place, the rescuer encountered a dog gazing at her with sorrowful eyes, eager to be taken to a location where she was cherished.
Rescue Mission
Since the pup was incredibly sociable, Kiarra quickly placed her in the car and drove her to Stray Rescue Of St. Louis.
Being exceptionally sweet and gentle, within just a few hours at the St. Louis shelter, the hopeful puppy succeeded in finding a foster home.
“I felt an instant connection with her, so I decided I would like to proceed and foster her,” shared the puppy’s new foster mom, Kendra.
New Life
With the name Asami, the dog hopped into the car and began her journey towards a new life.
Asami adjusted quickly and enjoyed bonding with her foster mom, becoming her little shadow and trailing her wherever she went.
She really struggles with being left alone. If I close any door, and we are on different sides, she will whimper, howl, and bark.
Even when it comes to doing her business, Kendra must accompany Asami into the backyard and wait for her to finish.
As time passed, Asami began to unwind and became more at ease with performing activities independently, as well as being alone.
Her beloved new pastime involves frolicking in the snow!
She adores the snow. She loves to run and leap in the snow.
Kendra enjoys spending time with her in the foster home and feels grateful that she can provide her a warm and nurturing environment, which will help Asami acclimate to human companionship, assisting her in discovering the ideal forever home.
Importance Of Fostering
Sadly, some pups do not have the cheerful and joyful past existence they rightfully should have. Therefore, once rescued, they desperately require someone to keep a vigilant watch over them and rebuild their trust in humans.
This is precisely where foster parents become crucial . Numerous animals require more tailored care and a supportive environment to regain their footing.
Foster families can provide specialized care for animals, addressing specific requirements, including medical assistance, behavioral training, or simply offering all the affection they need.
Furthermore, fostering allows rescued animals to encounter various people, creatures, and environments, ultimately enhancing their social abilities and making them more adoptable.
Additionally, fostering aids shelters and rescue groups. Given that these organizations often find themselves inundated with the number of rescued animals, fostering permits them to concentrate on rescuing and housing more animals that need assistance.
And let’s not overlook the emotional gratification every foster parent experiences! Making such a positive difference in an animal’s life in need, one’s heart cannot help but be filled with boundless love, warmth, and happiness!
So, unleash your inner hero, visit your nearby shelter, and enjoy the delights of fostering!
