Heartbreaking Scene
The pup, later named Stesha, was entirely hairless and was concealed in a box beside a convenience store.
As it was snowing, the unfortunate puppy was trembling uncontrollably, and due to her lack of fur, she was helpless to warm herself.
The rescuers swiftly lifted her up and attempted to warm her as much as they were able.
They placed her in their vehicle to transport her to the veterinarian, and as soon as Stesha was on the lap of one of the rescuers, utterly fatigued, she dozed off.
Upon reaching the vet, the team feared a diagnosis of frostbite, demodicosis, and even pneumonia. Sadly, it turned out to be something far more severe.
She had a persistent high fever and even experienced seizures, and a few days after her admission, the veterinarian concluded that Stesha was suffering from the plague.
One Determined Pup
Upon learning about the diagnosis, her rescuers felt shattered as they believed that considering her dire state, she wouldn’t survive.
Nevertheless, Stesha chose to prove them wrong.
Having endured extensive abuse, Stesha found it difficult to walk, yet she refused to let this hinder her progress.
With every opportunity, Stesha strives to rise on her paws and move around. And, despite her body shaking and her inability to straighten her legs, this tenacious pup crawls to reach her desired destination.
Witnessing her unwavering spirit and relentless determination, the rescuers recognized they needed to take action as well.
Stesha began attending a rehabilitation center where she was learning to walk again!
Five months after her rescue, this relentless pup was capable of walking independently.
The rescuers felt immense joy upon seeing their little girl walk over to them for well-earned affection and cuddles.
