Upon his initial discovery by the Street Dog Rescue in Oklahoma, he was already suffering from multiple health concerns that required urgent attention.

His previous owners had unkindly abandoned him in a doghouse, leaving him alone ever since.

Faith, one of the rescuers, mentioned to The Dodo: Bo was actually attacked by coyotes. He had never been taken to a vet prior to this. He was infested with mange all over his body.

They provided him with some sustenance, and it was evident that he hadn’t had any food for several days. From his reactions towards the rescuers, Faith realized that all he desired was someone to care for him.

Subsequently, he retreated into his doghouse and adamantly refused to come out. The rescuers understood they would need to physically remove him from there.

It took approximately 45 minutes to finally get Bo out from beneath the house. Faith stated: Eventually, we managed to bring him out. He consequently ended up with the rescue, Pyr Paws and Fluffy Tails

During his recovery, Bo was taken to a veterinary clinic in Oklahoma where he received care for his mange and nourishment to aid him in regaining his weight.

When his new mother, Patricia, first saw his photograph, she was taken aback by his condition. She remarked: He appeared so dreadful that I didn’t even think he was a dog.

However, over time, Bo’s health improved, and he started to appear significantly healthier. Several months later, he was a completely transformed canine.

The rescuers recognized that he was worthy of a caring owner, and thus Patricia felt prepared for this responsibility as she had prior experience with rescue dogs.

Although he was in his new residence, Bo didn’t immediately acclimatize. Patricia stated: It took perhaps six months for him to truly comprehend that this was his home.

That, too, eventually evolved, as he blossomed into the happiest dog who relishes exploring his environment.

She adds: I adore him and I am incredibly grateful to have him.

It’s wonderful that Bo received a fresh opportunity to enjoy his life. Despite being timid around strangers due to his past, Patricia’s compassion demonstrated to him that he was protected and cherished in her household.
