From the moment she entered the world, everything was a struggle for her.
Perpetual worry, the sensation of being unwanted, the uncertainty of what the next day would hold…
Never having a shelter over her head…
Never having anyone by her side for consolation at night…
Never having enough food to satisfy her hunger…
Suki has been treated poorly since her very first days. Abandoned on the street without a single person to notice her, Suki was left to confront the vast and intimidating world alone.
But, how can such a small puppy survive in this harsh reality?
How can this little dog discover something to eat without endangering her own life?
Suki was nearing her end. It was approaching swiftly, like a vehicle… just like the one that was headed her way.
That’s when everything changed.
In that moment, Suki realized the car wasn’t going to strike her. It halted, and two kind souls emerged, speaking to her in the gentlest manner imaginable.
Frozen in disbelief that something positive might finally happen, Suki surrendered and allowed herself to be whisked away into her new chapter.
A Holiday That Became A Rescue Mission
Brady Oliveira and Alex Blumberg are a pair of animal enthusiasts who have recently gained recognition for their advocacy. The well-known animal website, The Dodo, has showcased this duo multiple times.
A while back, in collaboration with The Dodo, Brady and Alex initiated their own series, titled Running Back To The Rescue.
This show is a delightful change, as it highlights rescue missions while Brady and Alex travel and enjoy their vacations worldwide.
During one of their journeys in the far east, Brady and Alex encountered the smallest puppy lying helplessly in the street.
Brady instantly scooped up the tiny creature and realized she was battling for her life, utterly exhausted. The puppy was infested with ticks and fleas, severely undernourished, dehydrated, and hardly able to keep her eyes open.
The energy was slipping away from the little being they named Suki, after the village they discovered her in.
Brady inquired around and learned that Suki had simply been thrown there on the street, like refuse.
No one desired her.
No one cared enough to grant her a chance at survival.
No one except Alex and Brady.
The couple hurried Suki to the veterinarian. Every second was vital.
Poor Suki weighed merely about 2.5 pounds… barely larger than Brady’s hand. That’s far too little for a puppy estimated to be around 2 months old. She desperately needed water, food, affection, and a great deal of care.
After receiving treatment at the vet, Suki was a revitalized puppy. The following day, Brady and Alex welcomed her into their accommodation, making her feel at home.
Suki’s energy recovered remarkably fast. She was thrilled to be in the company of caring individuals.
As Brady remarked, she was one lively dog.
Moreover, she had a great fondness for her toys… demonstrating to everyone that despite her difficult start, she was still a playful puppy born to snuggle and frolic.
As there was no way to exhaust her energy, Brady and Alex acquired two furry siblings for Suki – foster pups named Zoey and Bodhi.
She quickly began showcasing her toys and instructing them on how to play. Suki commenced teaching them the ropes of being puppies!
Sadly, her foster siblings found their forever homes before Suki could. Once again, she was left alone. It was imperative that something was done swiftly. Suki needed a big, affectionate home urgently!
Thanks to the commitment of Brady and Alex, a lasting home for Suki was secured rather swiftly. Suki finally acquired her extensive family that lavished her with affection.
In return, she showered them with kisses.
Once deemed an unwanted pup treated as garbage now has numerous humans who cherish and look after her.
Ending up on the street became both the worst and the best experience for this lovely girl.
