Alright, don’t anticipate spotting them everywhere as their very existence remains highly classified. Nevertheless, they are present, and they are nearer than you could ever imagine.
Moreover, they’re concealed within some of the pups!
You might have heard about Narwhal; the unicorn puppy. Well, he’s the initial unicorn secret unveiled.
Now, we’ve got another unicorn pup and I’m sure you’re going to adore her!
Her name is Rae, and she’s the enchanting ray of sunshine we all required in this universe.
Encounter Another Unicorn Puppy
In contrast to Narwhal, a pup born with his unicorn tail, Rae’s distinctiveness is due to a birth mishap. A few things went awry, and Rae, the adorable Golden Retriever puppy, ended up with only one ear.
And, what a powerful ear it is, I might add!
Perfectly positioned in the middle of her forehead, Rae’s ear resembles the most remarkable unicorn horn ever!
Rae’s ear isn’t just for show. She can hear perfectly well. It turns out that the birth anomaly wasn’t as serious as it seemed. Well, it certainly made Rae renowned, so there’s that.
Upon her birth, Rae was swiftly taken to Family Friends Veterinary Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The breeder who relinquished her was uncertain about the fate of her ear.
There were two potential reasons: either her mother accidentally chewed it off while cleaning the placenta, or the amniotic sac was too robust, and the ear somehow… vanished!
Regardless, Rae was on the brink of death, with every moment being crucial for her. She was losing blood and required immediate surgery.
“She was incredibly fragile. We were unsure if she would make it past 48 hours,” stated Brianna Vorhees, the hospital receptionist.
“We presume that because of the stitches, the ear migrated to the top of her head,” Vorhees mentioned. “I believe as her skin grew, and she began to grow, it just sort of moved up there.” Vorhees added.
With a soft spot for Golden Retrievers, Brianna Vorhees recognized Rae arrived at her hospital for a significant purpose, and it wasn’t solely for the operation. She realized she must not allow that pup to be placed in anyone else’s care.
“I lost my beloved golden retriever, Loki, to lymphoma last year at 4 years old, so I had an affinity for golden retrievers to begin with… I said if a golden retriever ever comes in, I’m going to want to care for it and raise it. When they discovered she would require 24-hour care, I have a heart for golden retrievers, and I just knew she was destined for me essentially.”
And, she truly was meant for Brianna!
Rae was welcomed by Brianna and her family, filling a void they experienced after their family pet passed away, and she is dedicating herself to shower them with affection as a ‘thank you’ for rescuing her.
Distributing Unicorn Magic Across The Internet
However, things did not conclude there for Rae. Everyone recognized she was a remarkable dog destined for greatness.
Nobody truly anticipated that those remarkable endeavors would involve spreading happiness and unicorn magic for dog enthusiasts across the Internet.
When one of her videos went viral, Rae’s owner knew the next sensible step would be to launch a social media profile for her.
Curiosity surrounded what type of dog Rae was. Everyone craved a piece of her magic!
Around three years after her adoption, Rae evolved into an Instagram sensation. People adore her… exactly 207K of them!
Rae is now a wonderful young Golden Retriever, exceedingly proud of her unicorn ear. She’s delightful, a touch mischievous like any other Golden, and overflowing with affection for all those who offer her kind words.
