Locating your beloved dog just days prior to its scheduled euthanasia must feel like a genuine miracle, right? Well, a gentleman from West Palm Beach, Florida, has witnessed this very phenomenon.

Barry Gearhart had his 8-year-old Pitbull, named Titan, taken from his vehicle.

Per Barry, that day was undoubtedly the “most terrible day of his life.”

Barry Gearhart has been with Titan since he was a pup, and he was utterly devastated when his cherished pet was taken from his vehicle.

“The most terrible day of my life had happened. I looked into the truck. It was vacant. It was silent,” Barry stated during an interview with WPBF 25 News.

He sought his cherished Pitbull everywhere, but unfortunately, he consistently came up short.

Barry and his companions posted Titan’s flyers throughout the city and shared numerous images on social media, paired with heartfelt pleas, but city-wide initiatives ultimately yielded nothing.

“I sobbed every day for a year for this dog,” Barry confessed.

He criticized himself for leaving Titan in the vehicle, and it shattered his heart.

Eventually, he learned that a security guard close to his truck had spotted a man leading a dog resembling Titan away, confirming to Barry that Titan was indeed taken.

This senior canine was absent for an entire year without any hints regarding his whereabouts when something extraordinary occurred.

As a devoted owner, Barry never relinquished hope. Despite the odds seeming insurmountable, he always believed that his furry companion would return home.

A volunteer at Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control noticed the post and thought that Titan resembled one of their rescues, named Hank.

Hank was an older Pitbull discovered wandering the streets of West Palm Beach and brought to the shelter by animal control officers.

He had been adopted previously, hence the name, Hank, but the family turned him back to the shelter because he didn’t behave in the manner they expected.

Although Hank underwent socialization classes, he spent weeks without receiving any adoption applications.

Eventually, Hank was classified as a “failure” and was scheduled for euthanasia in just TWO DAYS.

Tears Of Joy

The clock was counting down for Hank, but as soon as Barry discovered there was a chance his dog might be at the shelter, he hurried to verify.

In a genuine race against time and against all odds, Hank was indeed the long-lost dog named Titan.

After a year apart from his owner, there stood Titan, in the kennel of the animal shelter – a genuine miracle.

As soon as Barry exclaimed, “Hey, boy”, Hank/Titan leaped up and began barking and wagging his tail.

“He has returned. He’s here,” Barry stated, breaking down in tears.

Witnessing Titan’s response to his owner’s voice, there was absolutely no doubt this was Barry’s long-lost dog.

Titan was absolutely thrilled to be back in his genuine home and with his dad who never lost hope.

“This is truly a miracle,” Barry remarked while joyfully playing with his adored Pitbull.
