Frannie, a two-year-old long-haired Chihuahua from Chicago, USA, is a delightful pup that adores sharing happiness wherever she ventures.
However, there is one thing in particular that she treasures above all else – her Postman, Dan.
She fell for him the instant she laid eyes on him, and the rest is history.
The Ultimate Love Tale
As per Lisa Laskey, Frannie’s mother, Fran fell head over heels for Dan the day following her adoption. It was love at first glance.
From that moment on, every morning, Frannie sits by the front entrance waiting for her cherished individual in the entire universe.
The moment she spots his USPS white vehicle arriving at their home, she begins to squeal with glee, and her whole body trembles from sheer joy.
“It’s a genuine, emotional bond,” Lisa conveyed to The Dodo.
Postman Dan has been sorting mail in this Chicago locality for a number of years now, and everyone adores him.
He is consistently considerate and meticulous in his duties, so it’s no wonder that even dogs are fond of him.
The day after Laskey adopted Frannie, she ventured outside to collect her mail with her new canine companion in her arms.
Since Laskey was acquainted with Dan, she stopped to converse with him for a few moments. It was the first encounter between Fran and Dan.
“He exited his vehicle and made all these goofy expressions at her and allowed her to kiss him. Ever since that moment, it’s like, now this has to occur every day,” Lisa shared.
And indeed – this quickly turned into their charming daily practice.
Everyday Antics
“Frannie will just rest on her little bed by the entrance and observe — she recognizes the white vehicle. And as the truck approaches, her tiny body commences to tremble, and she emits a little bark to inform me that he’s arrived. I attempt to put on my shoes and prepare for her, and I fasten her leash. The moment he arrives at our mailbox, I’ll place her on the driveway and just let her sprint. She races down the entire driveway until she reaches him … and he’s just laughing — it absolutely brightens his day,” Lisa recounted.
Frannie eagerly anticipates a visit from her closest buddy, but it is also Dan who looks forward to seeing Fran during his rounds.
This charming little canine became the highest point of his profession. She fills his day with brightness and his heart swells with affection as soon as he lays eyes on her.
He adores her, too, and ensures to express it.
Lisa, Dan, and their partners have also forged a strong friendship due to Frannie. They enjoy spending time together.
Last year, when Lisa had to be hospitalized, Dan and his spouse looked after Fran, which she clearly appreciated.
“I believe that at this point, he’s more thrilled to see her than she is to see him on some occasions. It’s truly developed into a reciprocal friendship and unique bond,” Lisa stated.
Nearly two years following their initial meeting, day after day, Frannie continues to eagerly await her beloved postman, Dan, and there isn’t a happier pup in the entire world during that moment.
