Relocating, transitioning homes, and welcoming new individuals and environments is challenging for everyone, particularly for our canine companions.

If you believe your dog won’t even perceive the alterations you are putting him through, reconsider.

Not only are they aware of their surroundings, but dogs can also sense that something is amiss or altered.

Even if you are experiencing what you deem a minor adjustment, ensure you include your dog. They truly do not require any added stress.

The family of Christy, an adorable West Highland Terrier from Florida, was undergoing a significant transition:

They were relocating to a new residence.

How do you suppose Christy reacted to the shift?

Is That Truly For Me?

The newly upgraded house left Christy’s entire family astonished. They all adored the transformation! It was significantly more spacious than their previous home and boasted some pretty delightful features.

One of those features captured Christy’s interest, causing her to leap with joy.

No, it wasn’t the expansive yard or the wooden floors that allowed her tiny feet to go tap, tap.

It wasn’t even the neighborhood, no matter how amiable everyone was. This pup made friends all over the place.

The one element that truly amazed Christy was…

… the pool!

As is typical for many family homes in Florida, Christy’s new abode came with a beautiful pool beckoning you to just dive in and relax.

The moment this sweet girl spotted it through the closed glass door, she began bouncing up in delight, expressing her enthusiasm.

When her dad inquired if that was her pool, Christy started twirling in circles, squealing, wagging her tail vigorously, and pleading to go outside.

That little Westie was eager to make her first splash in her new pool.

Her father noticed how eager she was to access that pool, so he opened the door for her.

Oh, the speed! Oh, the exhilaration! Christy dashed outside at an astounding pace and leaped into that pool as if her life depended on it.

This little ball of white fluff transformed into a lively white fish as Christy commenced swimming laps back and forth, relishing her pool.

Afterward, she ventured outside and found another spot to jump into the pool once more. She was on cloud nine, and that cloud had a pool!

Purchasing a home with a pool was a brilliant choice. Swimming, and water therapy in general, is extremely advantageous for dogs and an excellent form of exercise.

That day, Christy felt the most joyful she had ever been. The transition was beneficial for her and her family. The change brought them immense joy and a space where they could all relax and unwind.

Well, that is, if Christy permits them to enter her pool. However, judging by how sweet she is, I am certain she would be happy to share it with her cherished ones.
