Roseanna celebrated her third birthday just before arriving at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control East Shelter in Mesa, Arizona.
Though the shelter personnel have seen it all during their careers, this particular case was one of the most heartbreaking, especially given that this Pit Bull was in dreadful shape when they first encountered her.
She was battling skin issues and experiencing significant fur loss, coupled with being overweight. It didn’t take long for them to discover that she was afflicted with hypothyroidism, as these were all typical indications of this condition.
As if all these challenges weren’t enough, Roseanna was also completely deaf, complicating her situation even further.
However, amidst all the adversity, this dog still radiated a sweet temperament and uplifting spirit, indicating that she was not ready to surrender.
That determination also inspired the shelter staff to commit to doing everything they could to offer this dog a brighter future.

The individuals who cared for Roseanna have gone above and beyond to enhance this dog’s quality of life and bring her joy. She was provided with all necessities at the shelter, and they lavished her with affection that mended her spirit.
The shelter personnel referred to her as a lovely, affectionate spirit who is always inclined to smile despite her challenging situation. They additionally mentioned that she is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash.
These are all compelling reasons why this remarkable dog is worthy of a forever home. Nonetheless, as she remains in the shelter in Mesa, Arizona, they are soliciting assistance from kind-hearted individuals to contribute towards her medical expenses, as every dollar is significant.
