When residents noticed a small black figure curled up between two garbage bins on their street in Compton, California, they approached to discover what it was.
Upon getting nearer to the bins, they realized that the black figure was, in fact, a tiny dog. As soon as the pup spotted them near, he jumped to his feet and scurried away as swiftly as he could.
The residents couldn’t stop thinking about the puppy and decided to leave some snacks for him, hoping that they would be able to catch him.
The Pup Keeps His Distance
The puppy frequently returned to the same street corner where the residents first spotted him. They attempted to rescue him, but he wouldn’t let them near. The pup appeared frightened and the neighbors presumed that he was homeless.
Unbeknownst to them, he yearned to reunite with his loving family after he had accidentally gotten away. With no knowledge of how to find his way back, he kept waiting, hoping that his owners would come to find him.
The little pup, whose true name is Marley, had no idea that his family had been tirelessly searching for him for months.
He was grateful for the assistance of compassionate individuals who provided him with meals. After each meal, the dog would always return to that same street corner.
The Skilled Rescuer Arrives to Aid the Pup
When Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy, learned about the little dog in need of her assistance, she rushed to the area to rescue him.
Her heart sank as she found the sweet pup waiting between the garbage bins with sorrowful eyes.
Hall set some treats in a humane trap. Unable to resist the temptation, the pup quickly entered the enclosure.
The rescuer felt immense relief knowing that the little dog was finally safe. Once she carried him to her vehicle, they headed to Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine, California.
At that moment, Hall was unaware that the adorable pup had owners who had never given up hope of reuniting with him, so she was focused on finding him a beautiful forever home.

Marley is Reunited with His Mom
Marley’s family continued to search online, hoping that someone might have spotted their cherished dog. They were ecstatic when they came across Hall’s post and identified their lovable fur baby.
His family jumped in their vehicle and headed to the hospital to be with him.
As soon as Marley saw his mother, he raced toward her, leaped into her arms, and showered her with kisses.
“He was missing for actually two months. But his mother never stopped searching for him,” Hall remarked.
While they embraced, Marley’s mom shed tears of happiness. She could hardly believe that her puppy was finally back with her.
Marley underwent a complete transformation. The sadness disappeared from his eyes. He was filled with joy and his tail wagged incessantly.
