Capturing The Puppies
The school principal contacted The Animal Rescue Center of California to report that three puppies had been abandoned on school property.
The rescuers were disheartened that the furry little ones had to spend the night outside, facing the chilly elements.
Driven to bring them to safety without delay, Kirk, one of the rescuers, drove to the school in order to retrieve the puppies.
Upon arrival, Kirk spotted two of the puppies in the schoolyard. They were sniffing around, searching for something to eat.
Kirk placed a crate filled with food, but the puppies would not enter. Despite their hunger, they weren’t tempted by the food inside the crate.
The seasoned rescuer understood that capturing the puppies would be more challenging than anticipated.
He left the food for the puppies, and they eagerly devoured it all.
Aware that coyotes might appear at night, Kirk was determined to secure the puppies’ safety before nightfall.
Fortunately, the school janitor and a student, both named Ivan, had spent some time with the puppies over the past couple of days. Their trust allowed the janitor and the student to approach the puppies successfully.
The janitor succeeded in capturing one puppy, but the other one darted away to the playground, where the rescuers discovered the third sibling, who was chasing after cats.
Kirk embraced the third furry friend, who melted in his affection and showered kisses on his hands. It seemed she recognized he was there to assist her.
