Before they dismiss and discard the dogs from their lives, callous individuals rarely pause to consider the anxiety and sorrow that each forsaken dog endures.
A small white pup named Roxy was merely eight weeks old when she was abandoned.
When her guardians placed her in a cardboard container, Roxy couldn’t comprehend what was occurring. She huddled in a ball, uncertain of what to anticipate.
Feeling downhearted and bewildered, Roxy wished that someone would promptly come for her and reassure her that all would be well.
A Sigh Of Relief
It was an uneventful day for a Pennsylvania inhabitant until they noticed an unusual cardboard box positioned before their residence with a note affixed to it.
“The caller indicated there was a box outside their house marked ‘free puppy,’” Sara Hornbeck, the head of East Coast Bulldog Rescue, informed The Dodo.
The Good Samaritan quickly looked inside the box and was met with the most charming puppy eyes gazing back at her.
As soon as Roxy spotted the kind stranger’s face, she exhaled a sigh of relief. She somehow felt that she was secure.
The resident promptly contacted Animal Control and informed them that a puppy had been abandoned in front of their house.
The officers rushed to the location, collected Roxy, and transported her to a shelter.
Roxy’s New Beginning
Upon learning about the puppy, East Coast Bulldog Rescue, a volunteer-operated dog rescue located in Pittsburgh, opted to take her in.
When the rescuers encountered her for the first time, they were captivated by her charm.
She exhibited a friendly and gentle demeanor. They simply couldn’t fathom that someone could abandon such a delightful pup.
“Once we retrieved her from the animal control facility, we quickly recognized she was the sweetest, most affectionate girl and was surprisingly in remarkable condition for a puppy that had been discarded like garbage,” Hornbeck concluded.
During her freedom ride, Roxy appeared somewhat perplexed, yet she soon settled down thanks to her rescuers’ tender treatment.
Once she was welcomed into the rescue, the staff members instantly grew fond of the sweet girl and shared her story on social networks.
It wasn’t long before Roxy discovered her forever home.
A lovely woman who was mourning the loss of Junie Bug, her cherished Pittie, happened to come across Roxy’s story. The pup captured her heart. She resolved to embrace her into her household and shower her with affection.
The lady firmly believed that the furbaby would be the ideal supplement to the family and a wonderful companion to her solitary dog, Murphy.
Roxy attained her happily ever after. She now feels secure and treasured in her mother’s embrace.
