When Layla and Lola arrived at their nearby shelter, they pledged that they would support one another until they discovered a caring family ready to welcome them.

It didn’t take long for someone to take them in; nonetheless, their time in their new residence would be brief.

The charming sisters were taken from the shelter two more times, but upon their return to the shelter once more, they felt that in this world, they had only each other.

However, everything transformed when Humans and Animals United (HAAU) learned of their tale.

Assistance Is On The Way

Rosa Fond, the creator of this non-profit animal rescue in Florida, promptly took charge and did everything in her power to bring these unfortunate pups into their care.

After acquiring emergency funds to retrieve the dogs from the shelter and thoroughly searching for a loving foster home willing to host them both, Fond not only succeeded in rescuing them from the shelter but also transformed their lives forever.

When the HAAU volunteers arrived at the shelter to collect Layla and Lola, they were filled with excitement and elation. Their joy intensified upon witnessing the pups’ reaction as they realized what was happening!

“Watching them depart from the shelter [that] protected them until our arrival brings tears to our eyes. The girls have a fresh start, and this time, it will be a forever happily ever after!” HAAU shared on Facebook.

Fortunately for us, they documented the entire occasion, sharing it on their social media, allowing us to experience the joy:

@humansandanimalsunited ❤️🐾🎉 LAYLA AND LOLA HAVE BEEN RESCUED BY HUMANS AND ANIMALS UNITED!!!! Please honor pledges via PayPal at [email protected] or via Venmo at humansandanimals-unitedinc or via Zelle at 8137631199 The girls have a new beginning and this time it will be a forever happily ever after! Seeing them leave the shelter who kept them safe until we arrived brings tears to our eyes. It was a celebration which we would like to share with all of you! Thank you for helping us save these girls! It wasn’t an easy task as we had to work through a holiday weekend but we did it!!!!! Layla and Lola are now at the vet. They have found a foster home where they will be transported to once cleared medically. We are looking forward to seeing these girls decompress, play and have their 1st night sleep. We cannot thank everyone enough for yet again being part of saving these lives who need us the most! 🥺 Their Story…. 🚨‼️ RESCUE ONLY!!!!! Being Euthanized is not rescued. Shelter has been blasting for help for a while without anyone stepping up. Layla and Lola are on their 3rd trip to Rockdale AC in Conyers GA. The owner has reclaimed them reluctantly 2 times and each time they come back in worse shape than before. We believe he is only reclaiming to avoid citations😳😡 Lola is 62 pounds and Layla is 65 pounds and both are heart worm negative and about 2 years old. NEED TO BE FULLY VETTED, SKIN ISSUES, ABCESS ON NECK ON ONE OF THEM, EAR INFECTION ON ANOTHER. They seem to be lab hound mixes and are sweet with people and good with other dogs. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE RESCUE THESE GIRLS TO SAVE THEM??? We do not believe the owner will reclaim this time. Rockdale County Ga #AC1291 #AC1804 ❤️🐾 Thank you all for your continued support in our rescue mission 🐾❤️ #HumansandAnimalUnited #georgia #animalrescue #rosafond #humansandanimalsunited #coralsprings #savinglives #rescuedogsoftiktok #HAAU #rockdalecounty #fosterssavelives #florida ♬ som original – Casais Perfeitos

The volunteers transported Layla and Lola to a nearby veterinary clinic, where the delighted girls underwent a comprehensive examination. Once the vet confirmed they were in excellent health, they were taken to the Florida rescue to connect with the others.

Foster Residence

As it was clear that keeping the sisters united would be in their best interest, a foster home capable of providing them with double the affection was essential.

“They are inseparable. We would never [divide] them. They need [and] rely on one another. [It’s] the only way to treat these girls right,” HAAU stated in a comment on Facebook.

Being such a lovable pair, a compassionate family offered to assist them and welcome them into their home. As soon as they arrived, Layla and Lola were utterly smitten by them!

“As promised, these girls have been kept together. Fully vetted, they are perfectly adapting to their foster environment,” HAAU mentioned on Facebook.

I’m confident that when the moment is right, these lovely girls will discover a forever home filled with love where they can finally enjoy a life of joyful, energetic pups.

For the time being, however, I believe they are more than content in their foster residence, surrounded by caring humans who ensure they have all they require and much more.

“They are indeed fortunate girls,” HAAU expressed in a Facebook comment.
