While a man was cruising on his motorcycle through a very suburban neighborhood, something unusual caught his attention from the corner of his eye, rolling about in the tall grass.
He swiftly halted and opted to investigate. To his surprise, he discovered it was merely a puppy frolicking in the mud, having a grand time.
The man conjectured that the little one had been heartlessly abandoned on the street and left to survive alone.
Realizing he couldn’t simply abandon this trembling pup in the desolate area, he resolved to take him home and provide him with another opportunity at life.
At Home
Upon arriving at the man’s residence, the pup continued to shiver with trepidation, scanning the surroundings and attempting to understand the situation.
The man allowed the pup to calm down a little before providing him with a much-needed bath since he was entirely smeared in mud.
As he was getting everything ready for the nice, warm bath, the pup took the chance to explore his new surroundings and even found a spot to bask in the sun.
It took the rescuer some time to get the pup entirely clean, but once he finished, he was astonished by how charming the dog appeared.
Once he was all dry, the man figured it was time for the pup to take a nap; however, the pup had different intentions.
Given that he likely hadn’t eaten in quite some time, the pup adamantly refused to drift off to sleep, making it evident that he was famished.
Fortunately, the man instantly grasped this and headed to the local market to procure everything needed to prepare the most delicious meal for the little pup.
The man hurried home as swiftly as he could so that his puppy could finally satisfy his hunger.
The meal was prepared in no time, and the pup devoured the entire bowl!
Following his delightful meal, the pup couldn’t contain his joy. He was bouncing around and relishing his new existence.
However, he soon had to calm down as bedtime drew near.
Unexpected Events
In the dead of night, the man was stirred awake by the puppy’s barks.
He promptly got up and went to check on him. Regrettably, the pup had vomited all the food and was calling for the man to provide some help.
He swiftly tidied everything up, placed the pup in his lap, and consoled him.
The following morning, the man was keen to determine if the pup was feeling any better. He began to play with him, but the puppy wasn’t in the mood.
He then decided to prepare some breakfast, assuming that he might be hungry. Yet, when the pup turned down the meal, the man realized the situation was dire.
Without delay, he took the pup to the veterinarian, where he underwent a complete examination and was diagnosed with canine parvovirus.
Sadly, the parvovirus was so severe that the pup needed to remain at the clinic for close monitoring.
Despite the vet stating that it was exceedingly unlikely for the pup to survive, the man resolved that he would not give up.
Upon returning home, he began preparing his house for the pup’s arrival, ensuring it was as cozy as possible.
The very next day, the man visited the pup, who remained in very critical condition. He chose to stay by his side, assuring the pup that he was not alone.
Unfortunate News
Regrettably, the treatment was ineffective, and the pup passed away in the clinic.
His savior was utterly devastated. Although their time together had been brief, he had grown deeply attached to the dear pup.
Nevertheless, he resolved to perform one last act of kindness for him. He took the pup back home and buried him in his garden beside two loquat trees so that, as they flourish, the pup could be with him for eternity.
