In Loving Memory Of Ryley
There’s a shoreline in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. A fence runs alongside that shoreline. And there’s a sign that went viral.
One day, Alex from Bucks County visited the beach, expecting it to be an ordinary day. Yet, it wasn’t. As Alex approached the shore, he noticed something that drew his focus away from sun, sand, and amusement.
A sign honoring a departed dog.
“Please take one of Ryley’s balls in her memory. Enjoy each and every day you have together!!”
The young man instantly felt a lump in his throat and tears welling up. They placed a sign beside a wooden box filled with Ryley’s old tennis balls, allowing other dogs to participate in Ryley’s beloved ball game.
Everyone was welcome to help themselves and have a great time, all in loving memory of Ryley.
“I immediately had a lump in my throat when I read the sign; I thought it was such an incredibly beautiful gesture to pay tribute to what seemed like an amazing dog,” stated Alex for Newsweek.
And it genuinely is a profoundly beautiful act.
Ryley appeared to be a truly gentle soul who spent fourteen years with her family. As a Golden Retriever, she surpassed her anticipated lifespan. I’m certain her family did everything they could to ensure Ryley had a wonderful life.
The memory of Ryley will persist as long as there are dog enthusiasts like Alex around.
Without hesitation, Alex took a ball from the box and threw it to his parents’ dog, Millie. Before long, another dog joined the festivities, helping to keep Ryley’s memory alive.
I’m pawsitive Ryley was watching over them the whole time. And I’m even more convinced she’s having a blast playing fetch with her favorite balls in doggy paradise.
