She Assumed He Disliked Animals, But Was Mistaken
Alexina, Anthony, and their Aussie Shepherd, Stilton, form a cheerful little family residing in Texas. Nevertheless, the journey to this happiness was anything but straightforward.
Prior to adopting Stilton, the duo had another dog, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who crossed the rainbow bridge at the age of fifteen. After that, the household remained pet-free solely because Anthony was still ambivalent about adopting a new pet.
“For as long as I can remember, he always opposed us having a dog. Initially, I believed it was due to his dislike for animals, but that wasn’t the truth,” Alexina shared in a video posted on Stilton’s official Instagram account.
In 2020, Anthony ultimately gave in, and the couple decided to bring their Aussie companion home, which turned out to be the best choice they ever made.
Stilton quickly adapted to the family dynamic, becoming the focal point and the true source of entertainment. Astonishingly, Anthony, who had previously opposed the notion of owning a dog, grew inseparably attached to Stilton.
It was genuinely extraordinary to witness a man who once refused to embrace being “a dog person” now cultivate a deep bond with his four-legged companion. Yet, his wife unveiled the actual cause of his hesitation in an Instagram video, and it was genuinely heartbreaking!
