A month prior, following the passing of her dog Smiff, Libby Davey believed it would be a lovely idea to create a portrait of her beloved departed dog to always keep him close to their hearts. Little did she anticipate, that portrait would evoke an emotional response from her other dog, Smiff’s sibling Frank.
When the portrait was completed, and Davey displayed it on the living room wall, Frank exhibited the most heartfelt reaction imaginable.
“I believe Frank senses that’s a depiction of his brother,” Davey remarked.
Frank evidently recognized it was his brother. The expression on his face was invaluable. It appeared as though Frank couldn’t fathom what Davey had done for him.
The poignant moment was, fortunately, captured on film.
While nothing can ever restore Smiff, in this manner, he continues to watch over his little family like a guardian angel.
An esteemed place on the wall was the final generous act the family could perform for this wonderful boy.
