Even the most seasoned, full-time dog rescuers occasionally struggle to carry out a rescue operation – as it can be incredibly emotionally distressing!

When a woman got a call regarding an adult Pittie roaming in a truck yard – she wasted no time and quickly sprang into action, never anticipating encountering what would become one of the most heartbreaking sights she had ever witnessed!

The sorrowful-eyed Pit Bull she discovered nestled was openly crying – and here’s the reason!

Suzette Hall, representing Logan’s Legacy, from Irvine, Southern California, wasted no moments and promptly arrived at the location to attempt to assist the Pittie she had been informed about over the phone.

Upon finally noticing the gray and white female concealed in a truck yard, she instantly deciphered her distress and some of the most mournful eyes she had ever encountered.

This Pittie had recently been a mother and tragically, all her puppies did not survive. She attempted to shield them, but as Hall explained, the pups were consumed by coyotes, leaving this Pittie mom heartbroken.

I have never witnessed anything as tragic in my life, she is utterly traumatized

She was in an industrial region, she frantically dashed around a truck yard, calling out for her pups,” Hall posted on her Facebook.

Hall Was Committed To Aid Her Recovery

Being a grieving mother herself, Suzette deeply comprehended the anguish that the Pittie, whom she named “June,” experienced.

She cautiously approached her, but the dog was far too terrified, retreating beneath two-foot-tall stacked shelves. She was visibly trembling in fear and distress, yet Hall remained steadfast.

Offering her food, she enticed her into a humane trap she set, subsequently retrieving her and placing her in her vehicle. June was at last safe!

Hall enveloped her in a much-needed hug and ensured she could unwind a bit, although she remained clearly shocked. What she required now was time and a place to recover – and Hall had the solution!

Recovering In A Foster Home

Following a vet examination at a clinic in Southern California, Hall secured a suitable foster home for June.

A woman volunteered to assist June during her healing process, and the fact that she already owned another Pittie mother who had also lost her pups was an immediate match! Hall felt this family would be an ideal fit for June – and she was correct!

“She is stunning and has significantly dried up. Just a week ago we rescued her. She was extremely traumatized and longing for her puppies so intensely. But today she is blissful. Her sorrow has transformed into happiness,” Hall expressed.

June began to emerge from her shell and started feeling significantly better around her new foster mother and her Pittie sibling.

It’s Officially A Foster Fail

Though it initially began as a “temporary home” arrangement, her foster mother could not resist adopting June permanently!

“It’s officially a foster fail. June has been adopted,” Suzette declared on August 3rd, 2023.

Shortly after her arrival, her foster mom recognized that June belonged in her household and she simply couldn’t part with her. She’s bonding so wonderfully with her sister that it would just be unjust to separate them.

June has truly blossomed into a lively and spirited dog within her new family – and that is the most beautiful gift her new mom could ever wish for!

No longer a traumatized Pittie with a tragic past, June now enjoys the happiest future alongside her new family!
