Homeless dogs are perpetually on the lookout for sustenance and a secure place to lay their heads. They hope that the humans they encounter daily would cease their indifference and extend the much-needed assistance they crave.
Izzy was one of the abandoned canines who desperately required human affection and support after she welcomed a charming litter of pups.
Hoping that kind-hearted humans would show her some compassion, she arrived at the entrance of a Dollar Store in Jetersville, Virginia.
She patiently rested and stared at the individuals through the glass door. With eyes brimming with sorrow, she was pleading for them to acknowledge her.
Requesting Kind Humans For Assistance
The shoppers were saddened to spot the forlorn Pittie peering inside the store. Her body bore numerous scratches. They could only fathom the difficulties she had endured.
From the instant they gazed into her lovely eyes, they felt captivated by her. They were resolute in their mission to aid her as soon as possible.
They embraced her and provided her with nourishment. They reassured her that they were there for her and that she would no longer be overlooked.
They contacted the Animal Control office and requested assistance for the Pittie, who was later named Izzy. Upon the officers’ arrival and meeting the dog, they recognized that she was a nursing mother.
After a quick search around the store, they found Izzy’s adorable fur babies. They were defenseless, famished, and in dire need of a cozy shelter.
Izzy And Her Puppies Have A Shelter Over Their Heads
Their rescuers carefully gathered them in their arms, placed them into a crate, and transported the mama dog and her beloved puppies to the Amelia Animal Shelter – Virginia.
The staff welcomed them with open arms. The following day, they took them for a vet check-up.
“Mom and the pups visited the vet today and received examinations, pedicures, and some medication to ensure they are all on the right path. Everyone is doing well and eating heartily,” the shelter posted on Facebook.
The mother dog and her lovely babies instantly captured the affection of their caretakers. They relished seeing the little ones gobble up the food provided.
Absorbing All The Affection The Staff Members Provide
The shelter personnel understood that Izzy required regular intervals away from caring for her pups. Izzy’s human supporters wanted to assure her that she was now secure and that the lives of both her and her babies would improve significantly.
The shelter team played with her outdoors, offering her treats and showering her with affection. The wonderful pooch cherished their assistance and her tail wagged non-stop.
Izzy’s mind was at peace, knowing that she and her pups were in caring hands. They will never again face hunger or neglect.
The sweet canine family continues to flourish at the shelter. They delight in plenty of cuddles from their shelter friends who adore them.
Once they are sufficiently healthy, they will be made available for adoption. There is no doubt they will bring immense joy to their future guardians.
