Occasionally, humans tend to overlook that our furry companions do not regard us as their masters; they perceive us as the most significant individuals in their existence, their closest confidant, their soulmate.
They become emotionally attached and reliant on us, and even being separated for an extended period can lead them to feel despondent.

Regrettably, the lovely pup in today’s tale understood precisely what that experience entailed.
Rescue Mission
Although Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy, a rescue organization located in Irvine, California, has numerous rescues to her credit, each time she hears about an animal in distress, her heart shatters as if it’s her very first rescue.
So, upon discovering a pup that had been abandoned on a terrifying, bustling highway by his former owner, she realized that time was of the essence.
Contacting her friend, Arturo, for assistance, the duo of rescuers made their way to the site, despite the late hour.
Upon their arrival, they recognized the gravity of the situation.
The road was extremely busy, and the pup was utterly frightened. A homeless individual informed the rescuers that since his abandonment, he remained in that same location, likely hoping for his owners’ return.
Hall and Arturo understood that if they approached the pup abruptly, there was a risk he might dart into the traffic and potentially cause himself severe harm.
“I honestly could not have undertaken this rescue by myself. I am incredibly grateful to Arturo for being there and assisting me. One misstep and he would have dashed into oncoming cars,” Hall expressed in a Facebook post.
One Chance To Get It Right
Given the dire circumstances, the committed rescuers understood that they needed to devise a strategic plan that would enable them to capture the pup on the first attempt.
They opted to create a small enclosed area using a mattress, some boxes, and wood scattered around.
Arturo and Hall gently guided him into the enclosure, using a piece of wood to block him as he was so scared and bewildered that he attempted to escape.
“After considerable effort and with Arturo managing the area from which he was trying to flee, I finally managed to catch him in my snare,” Hall remarked.
The relief felt by both Hall and Arturo upon securing the pup was beyond words.
They rushed him into their vehicle and sped off to the veterinary clinic, exhilarated by the prospect of granting yet another pup a new opportunity at life.
New Chapter
Due to the tense rescue, Hall devised the perfect name for the pup.
“This wasn’t straightforward, his fate depended on us but we took a leap of faith, which is why we chose to name him Chance,” Hall detailed.
Upon learning about the frightening situation he endured, the veterinary staff chose to treat Chance to a delightful, soothing spa day that left him looking rejuvenated.
