Upon receiving a call regarding a small dog family of three abandoned near a park, Suzette Hall, the creator of Logan’s Legacy, felt compelled to assist.
While en route to the site, Suzzete wished to at least discover two of them still together, given that the caller mentioned one dog had fled immediately after their abandonment.
Rescue Operation
Upon her arrival, Suzette began her search for the abandoned puppies amidst the lines of parked vehicles.
By peering underneath, she discovered a single black-and-white puppy curled up beneath a truck.
Noticing how frightened the pup appeared, trembling in fear, Suzette began to speak to her in a soothing and gentle tone, hoping to alleviate her distress.
“I knelt down and engaged with the lone puppy, realizing suddenly that a second one was snuggled behind her,” shared Suzette.
As she reached to grasp the black-and-white canine, the other pup got frightened and fled.
The brown-and-white puppy was extremely frightened without her sister, hiding and shaking in pain as she went beneath every car. She was that frightened without her companion.
After a while, Suzette succeeded in capturing the brown-and-white dog as well.
Ultimately, both puppies were safely placed in Suzette’s vehicle. As she was gently putting them inside, relieved that they were out of harm’s way, she made an astonishing find.
It was revealed that the black-and-white dog was expecting five puppies any day now. She would’ve given birth to them just under a car. It was truly miraculous.
No Puppy Left Behind
Upon returning to the shelter with the two canines, Suzette received another call notifying her that their siblings were still at the same location, searching for them.
Since Suzette had believed there were only three puppies, she was quite astonished to discover that there were actually four.
The last two puppies arrived at the spot where the first two were located, searching beneath the vehicles for their sisters. They were on a quest to find their siblings, fully aware that this was the place they had been abandoned.
The following morning, Suzette was back on-site.
Upon her arrival, she observed both of the puppies, now brothers, snuggling next to one another.
Each pair simply kept close to one another, seeking comfort in their togetherness.
The second rescue unfolded nearly identically to the first one: as Suzette secured one puppy, the other bolted.
While she gently placed one brother in her vehicle, the other cautiously approached her van.
Overcome by fear, he didn’t allow Suzette to come close, yet he also didn’t want to be separated from his brother, thus Suzette devised a strategy.
He began to reach up, and I sensed he would leap into my van. He would start to do it, then hesitate and retreat. So, I tossed a large treat into the back, and he finally gained the bravery to jump in.
Once inside, Suzette swiftly closed the door behind him. With his reunion with his brother, the puppy showed no concern at all.
After some affectionate exchanges, Suzette took the siblings to Camino Pet Hospital.
At The Clinic
Once all the dog siblings received a thorough examination, confirming they were in sound health, they were approved for adoption.
The mother dog, now named Delani, entered foster care immediately, where she had an adorable litter of four puppies.
With the pups now fully grown, each of them, along with their mother, is in search of a forever home.
As for the remaining siblings, Addison, Sylvester, and Hunter are also seeking a caring family that will nurture them as they care for one another.
Wishing you all the best!
