Staffordshire Terriers are frequently misunderstood as companions. Many individuals perceive them as fierce, hostile, and perilous without truly understanding their nature.

Despite their robust and fearsome appearance, Staffies are delightful companions as well. Einstein, the rescued Staffordshire Terrier, is here to dispel all the adverse rumors.

Frida adopted him when he was still a puppy, and he quickly became a cherished member of the family. His bond with Frida’s mother, in particular, became exceptional and extraordinary. Here’s their heartwarming story…

When Frida chose to adopt a puppy, she couldn’t envision bringing home a Staffy. She wasn’t particularly interested, believing they lacked cuteness. However, upon arriving at the shelter, Einstein left her speechless.

“…then we got there and we came in, and I just looked at the dog, and that’s when we fell in love!”

Without delay, she decided to adopt him and took him home. Although he was initially a bit reserved, Einstein ultimately became the ideal addition to the family. And here’s why!

Despite lacking any formal training, Einstein began displaying remarkable familial characteristics. Although he hadn’t suitably socialized upon arriving at his new home, he effortlessly connected with everyone in the household.

Being just a puppy, Einstein underwent a comprehensive socialization process, absorbing the affection he received from his new family.

Frida’s mother was not particularly passionate about dogs before her encounter with Einstein. She had no idea how she would react in his presence, but then something wonderful occurred.

In just a few brief encounters, Einstein captured Frida’s mother’s heart. He was always gazing at her with the most affectionate expressions, encouraging her to engage in playful activities.

With time, Frida’s mom and Einstein formed the ideal grandma and grandson relationship, filled with the affection that blossomed between them.

At that moment, she realized – Einstein could be as cherished as a human, and the fact that he was “just a dog” became irrelevant. He became a part of the family.

“He walks around with her all the time. He is the grandchild, and I’m convinced she loves him more than she loves me”, Frida chuckles.

During Christmas dinners or family gatherings, Frida’s mom ensures Einstein has his own seat at the table. She aims to make him feel as included and comfortable as possible. And, Einstein reciprocates!

He’s such a kind-hearted, affectionate boy who knows how to conduct himself during dinner gatherings! He essentially sits like a human, adhering to the flow of the event, and patiently awaits his meal.

And, guess what – he despises being excluded! If, by chance, he’s left out from the table, he gives them the most disapproving gaze ever!

In fact, he even declines to eat his favorite dish unless it’s served alongside them. He’s all like “You brought me here, human, now make some space for me at this table!” And space they create!

Einstein has never voiced any complaints about being placed in a crate. On the first night he arrived home, they designated a crate for him to sleep in, and he accepted it without hesitation. He didn’t howl, bark, or make a single sound.

Now, while he doesn’t sleep there anymore, he remains unbothered by being placed in it when necessary! Even though he often naps beside Frida or on the couch, Einstein is a well-disciplined dog, displaying only exemplary canine behavior.

Frida trained Einstein to endure solitude so she could get to work, strategically placing cameras around the house to observe him.

She anticipated him possibly chewing on shoes or creating a mess, but none of that transpired!

During his alone time, Einstein generally spends it sleeping, lounging on the couch, and awaiting her return. Occasionally, he glances at one of the cameras to communicate that “he is aware of being watched.”

Most of Einstein’s time is spent outdoors strolling with Frida, her mother, and their companions. Although Frida occasionally allows him to “act like a dog,” he never strays far from them. Even without a leash, he enjoys staying close by and matching their pace.

He also enjoys riding the train and looking out of the window. Initially, Frida feared this would be a somewhat daunting experience for him, but he managed it wonderfully.

One of his favorite pastimes is spending time with his new friend, Turbo. Turbo is the Staffordshire Terrier belonging to the neighbors and a new companion to Einstein. Upon their first meeting, they instantly clicked and began playing, disproving the notion of “aggression.”

Einstein inhabits his own little universe, surrounded by the people and dog friends he treasures the most.
