If you were raised with elder siblings, you understand that occasionally, they begin to behave as though they are your guardians.
They start instructing you on what to do, what to avoid, how to act… And although this can be vexing for younger siblings, they recognize that it arises from a caring place.
As a kid who experienced precisely that, I cannot convey my surprise when I came across a TikTok video featuring a situation that I distinctly went through in my childhood. However, this time, it was in canine form!
Dog Of The House
I won’t deceive you; the clip I am referring to is rather dramatic.
It shows two dogs who have heightened their alertness at a distressing event taking place outside. A frightening excavator is uprooting their cherished backyard, compelling them to remain indoors instead of frolicking in the sun.
Choosing to express their displeasure, the pups commenced barking at the machinery, warning it that they were prepared to defend their home if it opted to destroy it as well.
However, their German Shepherd sibling was not impressed whatsoever!
Understanding that their guardians were the ones who summoned the excavator while they aimed to enhance their play area, he chose to don his big-boy pants and instruct his siblings on some decorum.
He strolled calmly over to his siblings and advised them to back off!
Initially, the pups didn’t quite heed him. But, when he positioned himself between them and the glass door, they finally understood!
The two pups felt reassured enough that they ceased their provocation of the construction worker, permitting him to conduct his work peacefully. And, I am certain that their German Shepherd sibling felt proud, demonstrating to everyone that he truly is the dog of the house.
The Organized Guardians
If there’s one aspect German Shepherds are recognized for, it’s their affinity for order – along with their fidelity and intellect, of course.
One of the initial examples of this is their fondness for arranging their toys in a particular manner. Whether aligning them in a tidy row or positioning them in a set spot, these intelligent pups clearly have a system established.
German Shepherds flourish with routines. They relish having their walks, meals, and play sessions occur at consistent times every day. So, if you forget that meal time is approaching, fear not… they will ensure to remind you.
Due to their remarkable intelligence, these pups usually recall where items belong. If they spot a remote on the ground, they are likely to retrieve it and place it on the table. A pair of shoes is in the wrong spot? German Shepherds may nudge them back to their proper location.
