Let’s be honest, you haven’t encountered a more intriguing canine name recently. Heinz is a German Shepherd named after the famous ketchup brand. However, there’s nothing extraordinary about Heinz. He’s simply an average pup who adores napping, frolicking outdoors, and most significantly – food!
Heinz’s passion for food has contributed to his significant fame online.
“He’s always had a fascination with food, like the majority of dogs,” Karyn Dietz, Heinz’s owner, disclosed to The Dodo. “Fortunately, he doesn’t pester us too much while we’re cooking, but he usually keeps a keen eye on anyone munching, particularly the children.”
Whenever there are individuals in the kitchen, Heinz is always on food lookout, anticipating someone to spill a bit of food he can claim.
What remained unknown to everyone was that Heinz is perpetually on observance, tuning in for more food leftovers – even when he’s not present in the kitchen!
One day, while Karyn was in the kitchen alone, she casually uttered the word “Oops!” and Heinz dashed in excitedly. He immediately began inspecting the floor, sniffing for any food. That was the moment Karyn realized something special.
Heinz is a German Shepherd, considered one of the brightest dogs globally, and it didn’t take him long to make the link between the mentioned words and food remnants on the ground. He’s always prepared to tidy up the chaos.
The manner he pieced things together was truly impressive. Karyn recognized that Heinz belonged to one of the most remarkable breeds on the planet, yet this newfound ability completely astonished her. The fact that it was equally humorous made it even more delightful!
“A few months back, I realized he is prompted to at least glance up or come investigate for food if I say ‘oops,’ ‘damnit’, or ‘shit’,” Dietz mentioned. “He monitors with intense focus when we have popcorn.”
Karyn even captured footage of Heinz on food watch because everyone finds it amusing to see him sprint for his life to snatch some food from the ground.
“I orchestrated this video because what occurred moments earlier was I genuinely exclaimed ‘oops,’ and he came bounding down from upstairs,” Dietz explained.
The Dietz family might need to pick up some new phrases or simply stop dropping food. Heinz, the food guardian, is always on the prowl for extra treats!
