All that a lovable senior dog named Bullet wished for was to snuggle on his owner’s lap and experience their affection. Yet, he found himself huddled in a small outdoor kennel, feeling isolated and unwanted.
Bullet continued to hope that his family would take him from his kennel and allow him to cuddle with them in their cozy home.
After the pup understood that his family no longer desired him, he transformed into a sorrowful and timid dog who lost faith in himself.
Rescuers Arrive To Meet Bullet
Upon learning about a dog named Bullet who required assistance, Rachael Sylvester, a dog rescuer, and her team at Sidewalk Specials went to visit him.
They conversed with the dog’s neighbors and discovered that Bullet had an owner who no longer cared for him.
As the rescuers were nearing his small kennel, they kept anticipating the encounter with an intimidating dog.
Upon peering inside the pup’s kennel, they were greeted by the most gentle dog gazing back at them. The sorrow in his brown eyes shattered their hearts.
No one had cleaned his kennel for quite some time, and he barely had enough space to rest his head.
The dog’s owner requested they take Bullet away as he had aged, and they were no longer able to care for him.
The rescuers attempted to place a leash around his neck to bring him along, but Bullet remained still and averted his gaze. He was extremely terrified.
Sylvester succeeded in securing a leash around his neck and gently coaxed him out of his kennel. She cradled him in her arms, and he completely surrendered to her.
“At first, I honestly wondered, ‘Can he walk?’ because he was that rigid,” Sylvester shared with The Dodo.
Sylvester was resolute about finding him a nurturing retirement home.
She took him to the veterinarian, where Bullet underwent a thorough medical examination. Sylvester discovered that the dog suffered from arthritis. His joints were quite painful due to a poor diet, advanced age, and the chilly winters he had endured outside. The veterinarian prescribed the necessary medication.
Discovering The Love Of His Life
Bullet was exceedingly gentle, and he captured the hearts of his rescuers, who renamed him Noah. Sylvester was confident that the dog’s charming character would endear him to someone. And, she was correct.
The delightful dog won over Jacqui, a kind-hearted woman who already had five dogs under her care. She brought Noah home and bestowed upon him the love and attention that he desperately needed.
After spending two to three weeks in his new environment, the sweet pooch acclimated wonderfully. He relished time spent with his canine siblings and learned a great deal from them.
Noah adores his owner and follows her everywhere. Whenever she is working at her desk, he stays nearby.
The charming pup is now much more active than he was previously, and he delights in taking walks with his mom. His lovely eyes shine with joy, and he can’t help but smile.
“He’s just absolutely flourishing. I adore him dearly,” Jacqui shared with The Dodo.
Noah enjoys cuddling with his mother, and he occasionally drifts off to sleep beside her. He feels secure and cherished, knowing he has found his forever home.
