The mother dog, accompanied by her seven infant pups, was residing in a temporary shelter outdoors in frigid conditions.
Rescue Mission
Initially, the dog, now referred to as Darcy, had no faith in Laurette at all. Darcy, fiercely guarding her young, would snarl at her and refused to let her approach.
Nonetheless, Laurette was not about to surrender.
She requested the property owner to restrain Darcy as she cautiously transported her pups to her vehicle.
Upon noticing her pups being relocated to the van, Darcy began to move closer, anxious about being distanced from her litter.
Recognizing this chance, Laurette began speaking to Darcy in a soft and reassuring tone. Gradually, Darcy started to understand that Laurette was there to provide assistance, thus allowing her to lift her and place her inside the van.
Foster Home
Upon her arrival at the foster home, Darcy exhibited some uncertainty. However, when she observed the compassion and affection of her foster caregivers, she chose to trust them.
Within a week, Darcy began to seek them out independently, requesting gentle cuddles.
