When Jackie welcomed Heaven into her home, she had to exercise considerable patience initially. However, after a while, she observed that her little companion was so delighted that she couldn’t stop beaming.
New Existence
Upon arriving at the shelter, Heaven was utterly frightened. She would cower and tremble at the sight of any human passerby.
One day, Jackie visited the shelter, and the staff decided to wrap Heaven in a blanket and present her to Jackie. The moment the pup felt Jackie’s warm embrace, she instinctively began to wag her tail.
Recognizing this reaction, along with Heaven curling into her, Jackie realized she had found her furry friend. And the rest is history!
Regrettably, this precious girl faced several health challenges, but nothing that love and proper care couldn’t remedy.
“One significant issue was that she had several patches where her fur was absent. It appeared she was losing her hair due to stress. She also suffered from a condition known as cherry eyes, but that is easily treated at the vet,” Jackie mentioned to GeoBeats.
She also had considerable difficulty trusting men, leading Jackie to believe that she had endured a traumatic event involving a man in her past. Fortunately, this issue diminished over time.
Engaging with her new human not only enhanced Heaven’s health but elevated her overall happiness.
One Joyful Pup
She began to emerge from her shell, realizing that she was at last safe from danger.
And, after six months, Jackie observed something remarkable: Heaven was beaming! This darling girl had a broad grin stretching from ear to ear.
“Her smile is infectious. People can’t help but smile back when they see her grinning,” she remarked.
Not just does she smile, but she can also frown.
Whenever things aren’t going her way, her smile swiftly disappears, signaling to her human that she is displeased with the situation.
However, that frown flips into a grin the instant she’s at the park!
“She adores going to the park and having me place her in the baby swings; she genuinely sits there like a little child eagerly waiting to be pushed,” she stated.
Transforming from a distressed and frightened pup to one that radiates joy has truly made Jackie the happiest dog owner ever.
She provided Heaven with a life brimming with excitement, love, and escapades, and Heaven ensured that no day went by without bringing a smile to Jackie’s face.
“If I’m experiencing a tough day, I look at her and see her grinning back; it makes everything feel better,” Jackie concluded.
