Every dog deserves a caring family, and Beasley could not have hoped for a better one.
They rescued him when he needed it most, providing him with a literal second chance at life.
As time was running out for him, with support from some incredible individuals, a truly magical occurrence took place, and Beasley’s life experienced an amazing transformation.
Now, he is a joyful and greatly cherished dog who has finally found an ideal home filled with affection, playfulness, and safety… precisely what he longed for throughout his entire life.
Against All Odds
Beasley was discovered tied up in Houston, significantly malnourished and emaciated.
He found himself at Houston’s municipal animal shelter but was swiftly placed on the euthanasia list due to being a medical case.
It was undoubtedly a life-threatening situation for him.
Fortunately, Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue from North Carolina intervened and saved this lovely boy. They rescued him from this high-kill shelter and offered him a foster home.
Beasley had bullet remnants in his back legs, serious dental problems, and he needed extensive medical attention.
His teeth were damaged as he was foraging through trash when found.
Once he was finally healthy and all other issues were resolved, Beasley became available for adoption.
“This little gremlin face popped up, and I was, who was that? My partner was like, absolutely not,” Cory, Beasley’s new mom, informed GeoBeats Animals.
Cory and her partner, Andrew, were already members of the Dizzy Dog family as they had previously adopted one of their rescue dogs, Roman.
Their hands were quite full with Roman, who was also rescued from euthanasia, but Cory had instantly fallen for this adorable little boy and was determined to make him a new family member.
Miraculously, Andrew agreed to adopt, and Beasley relocated to Portland, into his new abode.
New Lease On Life
From the very first moment they met face to face, it became clear that Beasley genuinely belonged to this family.
“Tail was wagging, looking for pets. Opened the car door, jumped right in, he was like, let’s go. He was like, ‘Hey, I’m here. Thanks for the new place.’,” Cory recalled.
Beasley is a gentle little dog weighing around 50 pounds, though he appears much larger in photographs.
“You know he’s comfortable because he sticks his tongue out,” said Beasley’s mom.
He enjoys playing with his favorite toys and holding paws with his humans. “He’ll just gaze into your eyes, daydreaming.”
Beasley is a very laid-back, easygoing dog.
In his adoption post, Dizzy Dog Rescue described him aptly:
“He is a companion to everyone he encounters (humans, big/small and four-legged). He has a low to moderate energy level. He loves walks and taking naps. He sometimes snores and snorts. Most of all, he adores cuddling. ”
Beasley and his brother, Roman, lead a life full of love and pampering… just as they deserve, particularly after all they have endured.
“I just want to ensure he’s enjoying himself and that he never feels excluded. I think if there’s anything Beasley has experienced in his life, it was likely feeling left out. I want to make certain he always feels included,” Cory expressed.
With these amazing pawrents, I am certain that Beasley will never know exclusion.
