After months of intensive recovery, Scooter ultimately found her joyful place – all the way across the ocean!
Scooter Was Discovered With Fractured Bones In Her Hind Legs
When first rescued by a group of compassionate individuals, Scooter had her hind limbs entirely covered in bandages. It appeared that someone had previously attempted to aid this unfortunate dog but eventually abandoned her on the street.
At the time of her rescue, Scooter was incapable of walking or standing properly. She was dragging her hind legs along the pavement.
Worried citizens chose to extend their aid to this poor puppy, transporting her to a veterinary clinic. Prior to her treatment, she received the name Scooter.
It was determined that Scooter had fractured bones in her hind legs and an open wound infection. She required multiple surgical interventions and diligent supervision to recover. Following her hind-leg surgery, Scooter received daily care that included bandage changes and additional examinations.
Numerous Surgical Interventions
A few days following her treatment at a veterinary clinic, Scooter was transferred to a nearby shelter. She was received and cared for, provided with necessary medications, vitamins, food, and supervision from shelter volunteers.
Yet, through it all, Scooter never relinquished her zest for life.
“In spite of the adversity and numerous surgeries Scooter had to face, she smiled and showed gratitude towards all who assisted her,” shared the team from Touching Rescues on their platform.
The Much-Anticipated Recovery Could Finally Commence
Her healing process has finally started. Scooter was receiving all the required attention in the shelter, along with new canine companions. She transformed into a joyful dog, making progress each day.
Her injuries were mending, and she was at last able to stand and walk on her hind legs. Then – a miracle named “new home” finally materialized!
Alex, Scooter, And Affection Across The Ocean
A young woman named Alexandra became enamored with Scooter and her heartfelt story. As a shelter volunteer, she made the decision to adopt Scooter.
At the time of Scooter’s arrival, she already had another dog, expanding her small family and creating a cozy canine environment within her home.
Scooter was warmly welcomed by the first dog, and the two formed a lasting friendship.

However, that was not the conclusion of this puppy’s tale! After some time, Alexandra transported Scooter to the United States. There, she found her permanent home in Virginia, where Alexandra’s family embraced her.
Eventually, they chose to give Scooter a more fitting name – Dobby.
Dobby has become the family’s favorite, enjoying her best life surrounded by the most loving family. After enduring so much hardship, Dobby is now a healthy, happy, and often described as “slightly mischievous” family dog. She has finally obtained all the love she had been yearning for.
