Abandoning dogs is, sadly, not a recent occurrence. While we are all aware that the affection of a beloved person signifies the world to these furry friends, there remain cruel individuals who are willing to forsake their pets.
Rescuers from Hope For Paws, a rescue group located in Los Angeles, California, witnessed this firsthand when they received a message regarding a forsaken dog at a construction site one day.
Upon arriving at the scene, Katie and Alex observed that this unfortunate abandoned Husky was expecting puppies, which affected them even more deeply. Nevertheless, that sorrow quickly morphed into a drive to do all they could to assist this mother dog and her unborn pups.
Prepared For The Puppies
As soon as they reached the site, Katie and Alex attempted to place a leash around her neck. Unfortunately, the terrified Mallory, as they later called the Husky, lacked trust in humans after her cherished owner abandoned her.
Instead, she guided them to her shelter, where she intended to give birth to her puppies. Once there, she was able to relax a bit, allowing them to finally secure a leash around her neck, and they were set to journey to safety.
Upon finally arriving at their facility in Los Angeles, California, Mallory was embraced warmly and showered with love from all the rescue personnel. However, they quickly moved her to the veterinarian to ensure her babies were doing well, as time was of the essence.
The X-ray results revealed that Mallory was expecting seven tiny puppies. The staff was thrilled at this discovery, and they took all necessary steps to get her ready for the momentous occasion.
They provided her with a soothing bath, abundant affection, and all the care needed to ensure she reached her most joyous moment in the best possible state. Concurrently, several compassionate individuals contributed via online donations.
On the day the ultrasound indicated that the puppies were to arrive soon, Katie took Mallory home, setting up a cozy bed and a warm blanket for her. The very next day, Mallory welcomed seven lovely and healthy puppies into the world.
