I’m quite certain that each one of us possesses that singular word or phrase that causes us to leap as soon as we hear it.
It could be a person’s name, a renowned place, or something that evokes a private joke we share with our companions, or potentially the title of our beloved meal. Regardless of what it is, it undoubtedly elicits a response from us.
If we become this enthusiastic about our preferred terms, just envision how thrilled dogs must become when they hear theirs!
What Did You Say?!
Following a trend that surfaced on social media where humans feigned being on a phone call, alluding to their dogs’ favorite terms, one pet owner opted to emulate the same.
With her pup, Marvel, on the bedding, she positioned herself before him, pretending that the remote control was a phone, and commenced “chatting” with her friend.
Just like any canine, Marvel adores treats. Therefore, his human selected that as the very first term. And since peanut butter treats happen to be his favorite, she made sure to clarify.
“Did you obtain the treats? Well, he explicitly wanted peanut butter. Yeah, peanut butter treats,” she stated in the video.
This certainly made Marvel’s ears perk up!
The human then proceeded with additional terms that are undoubtedly cherished in the canine community.
“Yeah, ’cause we are heading out for a ride later. We are going to… I believe we are going for a ride and attending daycare camp,” she carried on.
Upon hearing the terms ‘ride’ and ‘daycare camp’, Marvel instantly began rolling his head around the bedding.
Did Somebody Mention Sarah
Nonetheless, this pup truly became intrigued when he caught wind of this one particular name being stated.
“Well I have no clue what we are going to do but I am hoping that Sarah will be present,” she mentioned.
The moment Marvel listened to his human utter ‘Sarah’, he was so thrilled that he practically leaped out of bed.
His human subsequently mentioned some other names, like Farrell, Grandma, and Bella, which made him even more thrilled.
However, the most amusing part was when his human brought up tacos.
“Perhaps we will go grab some tacos. We can go get a taco,” his owner remarked.
The instant the term ‘taco’ reached his ears, Marvel sprang up and dashed away.
This caused his human to erupt in laughter because she was puzzled as to why that specific word inflamed him so much – Marvel has never eaten tacos in his life!
“He has no idea what a taco is. He’s never had one!” she exclaimed with laughter.

What do you suppose was the reason Marvel reacted so intensely to an unfamiliar term?
My assumption is that he could no longer manage his cravings for his favored items, so he had to retreat somewhere quiet to regain his composure.
Well, whatever the explanation may be, I hope he ultimately received his taco!
