As we are all aware, vehicles are quite complex and challenging machines, which should only be handled by individuals who have received appropriate training.

Furthermore, they should be operated by adult individuals. Nonetheless, that was not the situation in the story of today.

Unintentional Crash

As Gustavo Kurka prepared to leave his residence, he observed that his dogs were still frolicking on the road.

Reversing his vehicle, shifting it to neutral, and stepping outside, Gustavo gathered his pups into the secured yard.

However, not every pup made it into the yard. One of his dogs, Apolo, spotted that his owner left the car door ajar and decided he wanted to go for a ride.

As soon as Gustavo spotted Apolo, he dashed to the opposite side of the car, hoping to retrieve Apolo that way.

Just as he swung open the passenger side, Apolo shifted the gear into drive, prompting the car to begin moving again.

Apolo successfully leaped out, causing Gustavo to sprint while attempting to catch up to the moving automobile.

Fortunately, a surveillance camera captured the entire incident; otherwise, I doubt many would trust Gustavo’s claim that a dog operated his vehicle into a crash.

Consequences

Fortunately, no one sustained injuries, well… aside from the vehicle.

The vehicle did collide with a neighbor’s wall, leaving it with a considerable scratch on the bumper.

Some might feel that Gustavo has every right to be upset with Apolo, whose antics nearly placed him in serious peril, but this devoted dog father is not holding any grudge against him.

“The canine doesn’t comprehend. He doesn’t realize what he did. Thank goodness nothing transpired aside from material harm,” stated Gustavo Kurka.

Reject Punishment

The method this dog owner adopted is genuinely remarkable and uplifting.

Numerous dogs are not fully aware of their actions, let alone that their behaviors may lead to repercussions.

Therefore, employing severe disciplinary measures may harm the bond you have developed with your dog.

It can lead to the emergence of fear and stress in your pup, and they may also become aggressive and defensive. This is primarily because they feel entitled to safeguard themselves and assert authority.

Dogs thrive best through motivation and training with encouragement, rewards, and patience. These approaches not only ensure the well-being of your pup but also foster a robust, healthy, and trustworthy connection.

When your dog engages in behavior that you disapprove of, please remember that your furry companion might not realize that their actions are inappropriate, so strive to be understanding and avoid being severe!
