A multitude of individuals believe that various creatures are perpetually battling amongst themselves. While this notion holds some truth, particularly in specific circumstances, it is far from being a universal fact within the animal kingdom.
In the realm of canines, Pit Bulls are notably impacted by such misconceptions. Many assume this breed to be excessively perilous, labeling them as unadoptable. Consequently, an overwhelming number of Pitties experience hardship in shelters, particularly those with unique requirements.
However, thanks to those who challenge these misconceptions, there are abundant instances demonstrating that these dogs rank among the most empathetic beings in our frequently indifferent society.
One of these instances involves a hearing-impaired Pit Bull from Pearce, Arizona, named Evie.
Her True Life Purpose
Evie resides on a farm along with her guardians, Allison Thomison and her spouse. They brought her into their home a few years prior while they were actively fostering for Valley of The Sun Dog, a rescue organization situated in Mesa, Arizona.
Shortly thereafter, they relocated to a farm and welcomed numerous animals, including goats, cows, and dogs. Among those canines, there were several puppies, with whom Evie showcased her immense affection for little ones.
She cared for nearly every puppy, treating them as though she were their mother, and occasionally even exceeding maternal instincts. Nevertheless, there came a time when there were no babies left to nurture, causing Evie to lose her role on the farm.
That status quo changed when Allison and her spouse brought home an abandoned baby goat. They hoped that at least one of their many animals would nurture the tiny goat, and they held high expectations for Evie.
Despite being an entirely different species and deaf, Evie did not let them down and displayed all her nurturing capabilities in splendid fashion.
She stayed close to her little goat, who they named Branch, and he felt most at ease when in her company.
Their touching bond can be most prominently observed in a TikTok video Allison uploaded through her account, @farmofmilkandhoney.

“Dis My Baby Now”
Upon sharing the footage of the adorable interaction between her hearing-impaired dog and the new baby goat, Allison was aware it would garner attention. However, she could not have fathomed the scale it achieved.
A variety of responses emerged, and we have highlighted a few of the comments.
“Evie said ‘dis my baby now’🥰,” remarked one user.
“she’s not the stepmom she’s the mom that stepped up,” humorously noted @weratedogs.
The third user commented: “The original nanny dog! Pitty love knows no bounds!!🥲”
While this video, in and of itself, is exceedingly touching, the predominant message it conveys is pivotal — the notion that animals lack love for other species is merely a stereotype, and this deaf Pittie exemplifies that beautifully.
