When it pertains to canine ownership, it should come as no shock that there are still areas in any nation where individuals will utterly abandon their pets.
It’s a truly dreadful reality that many individuals don’t believe happens very frequently, but you would be mistaken if you held that view.
In certain instances, the mistreatment or neglect can be so intense that the dogs will just try to escape from their guardians. That’s how terrified they become.
This is heartbreaking, yet reality is not always a pleasant place. When this particular dog was discovered by a group of truck drivers in a yard in California, they were taken aback to find her.
They had no clue how or why she ended up there since there were no residences in the vicinity, but they wanted to assist in some way, so they called for help.
Suzette Hall To The Rescue
Upon first noticing the dog, the workers in the yard discovered that she still had a leash attached to her collar.
Thus, there was a strong likelihood that she had escaped from her home. Why? It’s difficult to ascertain, but it’s possible she was mistreated, prompting her to flee.
The truck yard was quite expansive, offering her numerous hiding spots since she was petrified of other individuals.
For the majority of her time, she primarily survived by consuming cat food – that’s how she managed to endure for two weeks before the truck drivers sought assistance.
Whenever they attempted to assist her, things didn’t go as planned. They wished to help her calm down, but she would constantly flee.
She took refuge under the trucks as there was ample space, and no one could reach her there. The unfortunate pup had no way of knowing that these people had good intentions.
Hall Is On The Mission
When Suzette Hall finally arrived at the location, the drivers there indicated where the dog was concealed.
The woman brought along some delicious, warm hot dogs, and the pup immediately took notice of them. The aroma lured her in right away.
She appeared famished but was too apprehensive to approach just yet. Thus, Hall chose to set a humane trap inside a kennel with the food.
Following that, she moved away and simply waited. At that point, there was nothing more she could do.
Now that the pup was a bit more relaxed, she wasted no time going for the food, and the trap functioned perfectly.
Everyone collectively sighed with relief upon realizing that the dog was at last safe and secure.
The truck drivers expressed their gratitude to Hall for rescuing this precious dog. She then took her back into her vehicle and decided to drive her to a shelter in California.
Afterward, the puppy embraced her new savior so tightly that it appeared she understood her rescuer was guiding her to a better future.
While we remain uncertain about what transpired next for this pup or if she would be temporarily taken into foster care, we are confident that Suzette Hall will do everything within her means to assist her.
Ultimately, this unfortunate pup fought for two weeks to survive independently, but the compassion of strangers demonstrated to her that not all individuals are unkind and that many of us are willing to lend a hand whenever possible.
