When anyone brings up a “chatting canine”, what breed do you envision?
A Siberian Husky, naturally!
This breed is widely recognized for its ability to communicate.
It is astonishing to observe the vast array of sounds these stunning dogs can make, which humans have regarded for ages as essentially “talking”.
Howling, whining, screeching, sobbing… you can name it.
Nevertheless, this specific Husky mix, from San Francisco, named Bean, has advanced beyond this and essentially created her own lexicon that her owners needed to learn to interpret.
A Cherished Canine Named Bean
This lovely blonde Husky/Australian Shepherd mix was discovered abandoned on the roadside in Baja, California. She was pregnant and utterly isolated when a rescuer initially located her.
Fortunately, she was saved just in time to give birth to her puppies in a caring foster home.
“Bean had this huge grin in her adoption picture, and I thought, this is my dog,” Jordan Plumb, Bean’s owner, recounted in an interview with GeoBeats Animals.
Her puppies found loving homes, and Beanie made her way to San Francisco with Jordan, who is a professional photographer, and Bean is her preferred subject to capture in photos.
Jordan was rather astonished at Bean’s petite size, weighing only 35 pounds, which is quite small for a mix of this kind.
“She’s practically a blonde Husky, but everything has been scaled down to two feet tall,” quipped Jordan.
Bean is an incredibly joyful dog who adores people, and she is completely unbothered by unfamiliar faces. Her coat is exceptionally soft, and she enjoys receiving head scratches.
However, the most fascinating aspect of Beanie is her distinctive method of communication.
To “converse” with her human companions, Beanie has devised various grumbles for different needs, and it is delightfully charming as well as funny.

“If she wants to take a walk or if she’s just feeling bored, or if she craves attention, there are subtle differences in her grumbles that we have managed to interpret. If her desires are unmet, she lets us know,” stated Jordan.
Bean has certainly chosen an exceptionally unique way of “talking”, but her grumbles are truly endearing.
Fortunately, Bean has the most wonderful pawrents who not only take the time to learn her unique language, but also strive to express their affection for her every single day.
“One of the greatest compliments I’ve ever received was when someone remarked they’ve never encountered an owner and a dog who resembled each other so much, which is the loveliest thing anyone could express ‘cause she is so kind,” Jordan expressed.
For instance, whenever anyone enters through their front door, Beanie is always stationed at the top of the staircase, peeking out from behind a wall. She simply beams and waits for that individual to acknowledge her at the top and offer her head scratches.
Although she isn’t fond of cuddling, she thrives on pets and head scratches.
“People often claim that dogs experience separation anxiety, but I feel as though I suffer from separation anxiety when I am apart from my dog for too long. It seems like a part of me is absent when we aren’t together. She has become an extension of myself at this point.”
Beanie is truly a remarkable girl who has certainly discovered her ideal forever home!
