It is a well-established truth that numerous stray canines are quite apprehensive of people due to mistreatment or absence of any prior interaction.
This, consequently, leads to various issues where many of them attempt to do everything possible to evade us, only to find themselves in greater peril if they inhabit areas adjacent to busy roads.
In this narrative, we will discuss a terrified dog who evaded his saviors for an extended period due to his immense fear of them.
A Truly Challenging Rescue
During one of their rescue operations,Hope For Paws made an effort to save a genuinely terrified dog who was situated not far from the Los Angeles International Airport.
The rescuers located her fairly quickly, yet they also discovered just how frightened she was and she fled immediately.
This resulted in numerous unsuccessful attempts where they endeavored to entice her with food, but despite their best efforts, they could not prevail.
On one occasion, they attempted to use a humane trap on her, but she saw right through their plan. In another instance, they brought one of their rescue dogs hoping that it might help comfort this frightened pup.
Nevertheless, regardless of their efforts, everything proved entirely fruitless. Nothing was effective.
After many attempts, a gentleman alerted them about where this dog was resting at night, hoping that such information would be beneficial.
And, it was. They proceeded to the spot where she was sleeping and obstructed any potential escape routes.
An Extremely Successful Rescue
All that remained was to bide their time. When she eventually arrived, she realized there were people nearby and sought refuge among the nearby branches and foliage.
One of the rescuers managed to catch her off guard and placed a small leash around her neck.
He endeavored to reassure her and coax her to accompany him, but she resisted strongly. The unfortunate dog was simply so terrified of humans that she wanted nothing to do with them.
After a brief period, she began to relax, and her rescuers demonstrated that she was safe around them.
The dog, now named Bellanca, was transported to a shelter in California where she could receive treatment and enjoy a soothing bath.
Following her treatment, it was as if she had transformed into an entirely different dog. She was running eagerly toward her rescuers and embracing them.
A short while later, she was already frolicking in the yard with other dogs, showcasing her personality in full bloom and revealing just how joyful she is now.
Although her rescue occurred not too long ago, I am certain that the incredible individuals at Hope For Paws will find a wonderful family for this lovely dog, ensuring she receives the affection she rightfully deserves.
