The majority of abandoned dogs I have encountered throughout my life have adapted to surviving on the streets, merely seeking some minimal interaction from humans when they are famished.
Nevertheless, some still yearn for more and seize the chance to find a genuine family. These dogs will display their desire and endeavor to capture people’s notice.
In this narrative, we will discuss an abandoned dog who simply wanted to find someone and persistently trailed individuals, hoping that someone would give her a home.
Lily’s Existence On The Streets
When Lily was still navigating life on the streets, she would incessantly attempt to capture the attention of passersby in hopes that someone might assist her.
Although her attempts were often fruitless, her quest for a family did not go unobserved. A team of rescuers from the organization, Howl of A Dog, were informed of her situation and rushed to her aid.
Lily had grown used to life on the streets, which meant she was not particularly afraid of humans.
When her rescuers approached her, they did so with caution, but she was more than delighted to see someone taking an interest in her.
They offered her some delicious food to encourage her to feel at ease in their company and build their trust. It appeared that she truly appreciated finally having someone by her side.
The rescuers then secured a leash on her and placed her into a vehicle. It was now time to transport her to a veterinary clinic. During the journey, she dozed off, at last feeling comfortable to be away from the streets.
At the veterinary clinic, they scanned her for a microchip to determine if she had former owners, as her sweet demeanor suggested she might have one.
They also assessed her age to be approximately two years. The subsequent step involved a blood analysis to check for any illnesses.
Lily’s New Chance
Ultimately, her blood results were unexpectedly favorable and all she needed was some prescription to strengthen her immune system.
Once the evaluations were completed and the vets concluded that Lily did not have any significant health concerns, the rescuers brought her back to their shelter.
During her stay, she was given a nice bath, and one of her rescuers attempted to walk her on the leash for the very first time, although she was not accustomed to it yet.
Nonetheless, Lily simply relished being around someone who cared about her deeply, and that’s all that truly mattered to her.
Now, all that was left was for her rescuers to put her on the list for adoption and find her a permanent home.
After three months in their care, they finally succeeded in finding her a beautiful home. Although they felt sorrowful that she had to leave, it was the best outcome for her.
Her new family was absolutely fantastic – they provided her with such exceptional care, and she even has a few siblings to play with constantly.
Lily demonstrated that she was an extremely friendly and playful dog who simply wanted to savor her time with those she cherishes the most.
Ultimately, everything turned out wonderfully for her. I am so pleased to see that her journey culminated positively, and I wish her and her family all the best.
