Every shelter canine fantasizes about finding their perfect family.

Or at least anticipating their arrival in a warm, comfortable foster home.

Unfortunately, this rarely occurs, resulting in numerous dogs being compelled to endure years confined to cramped spaces, experiencing life within four walls.

Sky, a hearing-impaired Doggo Argentino, encountered a similar destiny until she was reunited with Elli, her ideal foster caregiver.

Sky’s existence has been challenging. After spending the initial eighteen months of her life within a cramped crate, she was relinquished to a shelter alongside her sister, where her anguish persisted.

Life at the shelter had an impact on her. Sky started to decline, and her deafness exacerbated the situation.

“SKY is living in a shelter and needs out immediately. She is deteriorating,” Elli posted on Instagram.

Although Elli had three adult dogs and was taking a hiatus from fostering, she couldn’t abandon Sky in distress. After discovering her story, she made the choice to welcome her on a fostering arrangement to provide her with everything necessary.

Elli instantly fell for Sky, especially upon realizing that this adorable dog reminded her of her own deaf canine, Jasmyne.

The two set off to Elli’s dog sanctuary in upstate New York and commenced a new chapter together.

Nonetheless, there was a slight complication.

Sky now enjoys her very own (temporary) farm along with her very own home. Sadly, Elli’s other hearing-impaired dog, Jasmyne, demonstrates strong reactive behavior towards unfamiliar canines, which is why she had to be placed in a different setup.

She resides alone in a barn that Elli refurbished into a guest accommodation, but her new foster caregiver ensures that she is not lacking in anything.

The pair spends approximately eight hours each day together, working on obedience, socialization skills, and learning sign language signals.

“She’s resilient and settles, quietly waiting for me to return throughout the day, into the evening and each morning. I spend around 8 hours with her each day,” Elli mentioned.

Though it weighs heavily on Elli to leave Sky in a separate residence overnight, this charming Doggo Argentino doesn’t appear to have an issue with it.
