An Elderly Man And His Cherished Dog
While enjoying some time outdoors in her city, a young woman named Sabrina La Grotteria witnessed a touching exhibition of dedication.
She spotted an elderly man taking his dog on walks throughout the neighborhood several times a day.
However, this was not your usual “walking a dog” scenario.
The dog in question, a senior Labrador Retriever named Dylan, was unable to walk. Thus, his affectionate owner devised an ingenious method to still take his pet on uplifting strolls.
Tonino Vitale, the dog’s owner, who was also advanced in age, constructed a makeshift cart to wheel his dog around the neighborhood.
Dylan, a 13-year-old Labrador Retriever, had lost his ability to move due to bone cancer, yet his devoted owner refused to abandon taking him out for daily walks.
Each and every day, three to four times daily, Tonino tenderly placed Dylan onto the cart, fastened the harness and the leash, then began to wheel his precious dog around the neighborhood.
Countless individuals across the globe were brought to tears by this warm-hearted routine.

As Tonino commenced these daily strolls, he quickly observed a shift in Dylan’s demeanor – he appeared more joyful and lively.

Following the media frenzy, Dylan and his owner, Tonino, received a visit from Alessandro Ortolan, recognized as the “wizard of carts”.
Alessandro crafted a unique support cart for Dylan to facilitate his movement. This was a truly special gift, and witnessing Dylan moving around with the aid of his new cart left everyone in tears.
Unfortunately, merely two days later, Dylan departed this world at his home.
