Kobe, an incredibly charming Golden Retriever, had his entire existence disrupted when his owner, Danielle, discovered she was expecting.
Nonetheless, Kobe chose to welcome his new circumstances, focusing entirely on himself!

During the initial months of Danielle’s pregnancy, Kobe sensed that something was occurring within her abdomen.
“He recognized something was different quite early in the pregnancy. He began resting his head on my belly, which was not typical for him before,” Danielle shared.
As soon as Danielle and her partner began preparing for their child, Kobe was determined to participate in every aspect of the process.
He attempted to be the most helpful companion, but the catch was, he did it in his unique manner…
While we were organizing the nursery, Kobe was eager to help. He would sneak off with bits of furniture.
Kobe also took all of the toys Danielle had prepared for her baby girl, believing they were meant for him instead.
Danielle then came up with a brilliant idea. She purchased a small baby doll, thinking it could help Kobe adjust to having a little girl around, but he merely viewed it as another toy exclusively for him!
She’s Arrived
When the new family member finally arrived, Kobe just couldn’t contain his enthusiasm.
His eyes appeared to be popping out of his head. He was just so thrilled to see her.
The new parents were absolutely delighted to discover that Kobe adored his new baby sister, recognizing how vital they would be to one another.
It didn’t take long for this pooch to understand that he had to be incredibly gentle around the baby, and he quickly realized he wanted to be by her side at all times!
“At night, when we rise to feed her, the dog accompanies us into the nursery, laying next to Danielle,” explained Gabe, Danielle’s partner.
Big Brother
Kobe transformed into the most fantastic big brother imaginable!
He ensured he was on duty to babysit every moment of the hour. Anytime his sister made even the faintest sound, Kobe was there to see what was happening.
When she’s napping, if she stirs or starts to cry, he instantly stands up and approaches her.
The first thing Kobe does every morning is visit his baby sister’s room to ensure she is doing well.
Whenever she is on the floor playing, her big brother is right there next to her, ensuring everything is just right.
However, even as a big brother, he remains quite demanding of Kobe’s attention!
Kobe still behaves like the only child at times. He continues to seek out significant amounts of attention, but he is also learning how to be a big brother and adjusting effectively.
Being such a trustworthy big brother, seeking affection and attention is a perfectly reasonable request in my opinion.
I’m confident that over time, Kobe and his baby sister will continue to develop together and forge an unbreakable bond that leads to the most enjoyable playdates!
